What I can see is Sony not developer friendly also. This is the main weakness of Sony phones.

For those who loves to flash their phones, there is not much developers and custom ROMs for Sony.
*
there r quite a lot of custom rom available in fact laugh.gif
but ofcauz don't compare with nexus lar

so what those that means of ip55/ip 57.
if ip 55 means
5=  low pressure water jets from any direction
5= Water jets  Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.

btw u don't see any gadget with 2 ip rating or four digit rating ....
*
actually there is

issit ? show me which line showing a gadget with two rating ?
that possible they they show IP5X/IPx7 but not showing ip55/ip57, cause during warranty claim, they will do pressure test, if base on IP 55 pressure test, we all screw ...
*
actually it depend on sony on the warranty claim
4 motorola & samsung rugged phone cases
motorola T&C will reject any warranty claim on waterproof faulty if
crack, dent, or sign of damage if found on the device that may lead 2 waterproof inefficiency
samsung however is more strict, their t&c stated, if there r sign of wear n tear
or if they believe it is due to users intention they will void their warranty claim

but if u r talking abt sony, well they did not specified well on this
with claim that said, they will accept any warranty if it is found manufacturer fault
or u can try 2 testify it urself by bringing up the service menu
*#*#7378423#*#* or *#*#4636#*#* radio service menu laugh.gif

From this review it mentions that the phone is having 2400 mah battery capacity, but some websites mentioned it as 2330 mah

http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/review...-handson-review

And I heard this phone will be using Li-Ion batteries compared to Li-Po.Anyone knows whats the big difference? I heard Li-Ion battery life cycle isn't as good as Li-Po.
*
differences of Li-PO & Li-Ion are not much
just the weight differences bcauz they can build it smaller due 2 the technology
perform just the same as Li-ion

but however due to the technology used in li-po,
compact design may cause Li-po battery to swell easily due to gas released during charging

I hope someone could really test the MicroSD slot to determine whether the SDXC is supported or not.

32GB microSD is actually sufficient, but being able to support SDXC would  be a futureproof solution.
*
ady stated in 1st post, support microSD XC
but u need 2 format it into fat32 or ext4 or supported file system

wait , what i found that based on review Clove Review here the fact that the slot exists but does not support SDXC  shakehead.gif
so confusing now  icon_question.gif  rclxub.gif
*
bcauz clove did not try it with micro sdxc, the just assume it does not support micro sdxc
bcauz sony write support up2 32GB in their white paper but didn't declare it is sdhc or sdxc
since sdxc is up until 64GB they just assume it does not support sdxc

as same as xperia T like clove said it does not support sdxc,
but it does support sdxc, u can read it in xda
many ppl format their sdxc 64gb to ext4 or fat32 n it is supported

they did try, and it is not supported in NORMAL case, unless u do MOD(format as ext4 or some other type)on the card then is can be use.

anything need MOD to work, i define as not supported.

"In terms of storage, both of the handset versions that Clove ranges come with 16GB internal storage. Each handset then has a microSD slot. The Note II can take MicroSDXC cards up to 64GB, whereas in our testing only a 32GB MicroSD card worked with the Xperia Z. However, some reports have suggested that using the Xperia Z to format a 64GB SDXC card will enable its usage. We cannot confirm at this stage but will do so as soon as possible."

We did not test this and can therefore neither confirm or deny at this stage.

did u actually read the article? http://blog.clove.co.uk/2013/01/18/sony-xperia-z-review/

to support ext4 or fat32 u don't need mod, bcauz it is supported in stock android
furthermore the internal storage is formated in ext4, mod is not required to support ext4
most of the sd card came as fat32, as exfat need license from microsoft

unless u tell me that samsung device need mod to support ext4
thn maybe i will believe, bcauz samsung disable linux based android's own file system management ext4
n use their own file system f2fs/rfs instead of ext4

arrrr so hard 2 type using tablet... vmad.gif
mean no ill laugh.gif

i mean u need to mod the SDXC card in order to work with XPZ.

and the article http://blog.clove.co.uk/2013/01/18/sony-xperia-z-review/ i indeed nv read, cos it is older then http://blog.clove.co.uk/2013/01/22/sony-xp...-galaxy-note-2/, so i believe in latest info.

FYI, note 2 can read SDXC card without need to format the micro SD card, buy, plug and play, that one i define supported.

no need to tell so much about linux, wat f2fs/rfs thing, i am noob about those, i am just a average android user.
*
there are few major type of files system ext1,2,3,4/exfat/fat32/hsf
not plug n play stuff but samsung galaxy can automatically format the sd card to the supported format smile.gif
n furthermore they get the limited licenses from microsoft 2 read&write exfat

but u need 2 choose the correct file system if u want ur sd card 2 be hot swappable
n supported in different os such as Mac/window/linux,
thn u shall need 2 format it as exfat or fat32, most card come with exfat or fat32 ready
it is not mod, it is just a system type that different used by different OS

if u r not going to hot swap ur sd card, thn i think it is best 2 use ext4,
bcauz the ext4 is originally used by android, & furthermore ext4 have better integrity support
in android exfat/fat32, u will see last time ppl said "hey why my files get corrupted/why the sd card cannot be read & need to format again?" that is the problem laugh.gif

so it is not mod

doh.gif
the phone itself can read micro-SDXC, but you need to set correct file system
in layman term file system is the type of management like how you keep track of your things
example in a book/computer/memorize in brain

so you need to set it to correct system file management if you want to use tat sd-card
as simple as tat laugh.gif

nah, that's what i did with my Acro S. the only thing haven't done yet, soak it into hot water. i don't think it'll survive though.

the video only show splash into water, i wanted to see the phone got into washing machine, dish washer as well as in the mud.
*
hrmmm no mud, bcuaz dirt will stick it the little holes of the phone whn dry
heat spoil the lithium battery, salt water corrode the metal part

other thn tat i guess the phone will be safe laugh.gif
