QUOTE(lonelywolf90 @ Feb 1 2013, 10:54 PM) I got questions about the Throw feature, hope you guys could fill in the details about my doubt. using wifi direct, if your TV support wifi direct ur able 2 throw content or Can this feature actually work with other brands? How to seamlessly connect via other brands? I see XZ can be connected to Bravia TV and other Sony wireless products easily, but i'm just curious how it works on devices of other brands, really interested to know. Thanks guys! known as share content as the previous name adopted in previous phones wifi miracast is also depending in wifi direct, only work if the device support wifi direct |

QUOTE(lonelywolf90 @ Feb 2 2013, 02:02 AM) I see, thank you very much to both of you. M7 arSo other devices just need a wi-fi direct feature. I wonder how this will put up against the HTC M7. So far, I only see M7 winning in terms of 1)viewing angle of screen 2)wider front camera angle 3)wider aperture back camera 4)1.7GHz APQ8064 5)wifi 802.11ac 6)slightly higher ppi (not obvious) ermmm not sure, bcauz they r using new type of screen as roumer but i think maybe will be better thn SLCD 2, if compare with sony HD reality screen it does seem much more pretty, n greater ppi is better but dono abt the real spec, like respond time/battery consumption/brightness/blackness of the screen so cannot actually say which is better without actual spec comparision, tis 1 u have to just choose which look nice 2 ur eyes lower aperture is good in lowlight shoot, but will suffer in focusing shooting so it is a win-loose situation, but rumor say tat it come with HDR video recording, so i suspect HTC will be using sony exmor rs sensor, but quality many still vary on software experience, driver & sensor model they acquire but the processor is faster wifi is also future proof if the rumor is true, htc m7 maybe better thn xperia Z spec wise in speed This post has been edited by junsheng: Feb 2 2013, 02:27 AM |

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Feb 2 2013, 02:57 AM) in my general knowledge from my HTC user colleague... 1) yup their screen look nicer, but still need to knw the true spec if want 2 compare1) HTC have nicer screen 2) HTC battery management seems not really good due to butterfly case? 3) HTC software support seems better? hear from nokia L920 no update yet compare with HTC 8X... 4) lower aperture number or not i think that one depend more on software handling on camera. it is not dslr, those "numbers" seems can't be trust lol 5) front camera...err... i'm not cam whore 6) wider camera angle. this one need take note for distortion issue 7) Wifi....err who use high end WIFI router here in home? need so advance ar? 2) tis 1 not sure lar 3) lumia 920 ady receive their January update patch, n for android 1, i think they perform the same as sony 4) nope, bcauz software cannot improve wat is ady fixed, so lens & sensor come 1st thn software 5) front camera, i think we need a good camera like the lumia 920, so tat can c face clearer even dim light place 6) wide angle also related with lens & sensor problem, win-lose situation 7) got lar, especially whn streaming movies, but wifi ac is not mainstream now, but still futureproof i think overall HTC m7 is also quite nice but i think HTC has no experience in making camera |

QUOTE(sugarbaby @ Feb 5 2013, 11:38 PM) Initially I want to get GN2 but now I'm interested with the XZ. Which one to choose? Nowadays almost everyone is carrying Samsung / Apple. Very sien lah! get a oleophobic coating screen protector like http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=Ns7s6X9pe8I But are those fingerprints on the front & back of the XZ? I don't want the phone to be oily & lots of fingerprints. Reminds me of the iPhone 3GS surface. SGP or martin fields |

QUOTE(ainuddin @ Feb 6 2013, 07:19 PM) not likelybcauz of the sensor size and oversampling if we were to compare HDR, thn xperia Z have the advantages bcauz xperia Z come with HDR mode in still photo & video nokia 808 does not have HDR but it utilized oversampling method thus it can handle exposure better, thus increase details & shades details, with increased dynamic range can say both using different approach 2 tackle the problems of details lose in underexposure & overexposure |

QUOTE(uzary @ Feb 6 2013, 08:27 PM) As long as the xperia z picture is much better than s3, than i'll be very happy.. Honestly, s3 camera is very very good. I never c lumia 920 nor the 808 pic live, so i say s3 camera so far is the best camera for phone, 808 kinda a different league oredy wit its 41mp. I hope Z can beat both s3 n lumia920. I read some review stated in some case where s3 pic is slightly better than Z under low light condition. Well wether it is true or not i dun really care as even slr hav difficulties dealing under low light. i think in most cases it will do better thn s3bcauz s3 is using older sensor made by sony almost just like iphone thn now rumor iphone 5s will be using sony new 13mp sensor http://www.ubergizmo.com/2012/06/samsung-g...camera-sensors/ This post has been edited by junsheng: Feb 6 2013, 10:00 PM |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Feb 7 2013, 03:51 PM) Is all SONY phone using so call Shatterproof Sheet? Include this Z right... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................... yes, shatterproof sheet 2 protect the glass from shatteringFrom this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GzYnDnZDRg...be_gdata_player I probably need to think twice on SONY XPERIA Z ! but the sheet is not scratch resistance, only the glass beneath is scratch resistance if the sheet is scratched just remove it i think the video is a bit bias, bcauz they didn't test on the screen after removing the sheet thn furthermore didn't mention anything about oleophobic coating wear out n set the brightness too low just to purposely show the reflection of finger print bcauz on my xperia if the brightness is being set at 30% u can't see any finger print reflection unless u turn off the screen c video below http://youtu.be/KPRD_iCQG5c?t=2m45s This post has been edited by junsheng: Feb 7 2013, 04:32 PM |

gorilla glass's oleophobic coating will wear off 1, sad
thn i put on screen protector, but kinda got distortion of colour , thn i remove it here is 1 of the example ![]() » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « here misconception of gorilla glass & many mineral glass, will scratch easily with sand 1 i think it is preference of each ppl lar 4 screen protector, but it is better 2 do so unless u always get the chances 2 change phones often maybe sony didn't put the coating bcauz it will wear out 1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1866049 This post has been edited by junsheng: Feb 12 2013, 01:40 AM |
