Nice spec bump. Sure hope the price doesn't increase much from the current RT-AX86U

Can anyone recommend me where to get a power adaptor replacement or compatible? Price also if possible.

Yes. It's 100% compatible. I use this on my RT-AC86U

Remember to buy together with the power cord
Unless you have one C5 power cord lying around unused

This is what the power cord looks like

Nope, only 1 for internet at middle living hall upstairs. To route wire ethernet need hire other contractors, and have to pay extra, so decided not to do it because too costly
Too bad. You could've connected the 2 MESH routers using Ethernet so you will have full speed on both side

RT-AX86U in Taobao including shipping to Malaysia: RM938.60
RT-AX86U Pro in Taobao including shipping to Malaysia: RM1066.32

Only RM100± differences

The lowest price for the standard RT-AX86U in Shopee is around RM1.2K±
Here's hoping in Malaysia the price for the RT-AX86U Pro is not going to be too much increase from the standard RT-AX86U

My RT-AC86U seems to have broken down in less than 11 months. Is AdvanceNet the only place for warranty in Klang Valley?
RT-AC86U is known to be plagued with tons of hardware issues
RMA your RT-AC86U then once you got a replacement unit, sell it immediately & get the RT-AX86U

Be patience. It'll come sooner or later as ASUS did promise to release the 388 firmware for all AX routers

Those speeds you're getting when you're doing the testing, is your device connected to the main router or the node?
If it's from the main router, that's quite slow

If it's from the mesh node, then it's to be expected. The only way to improve the speed is by connecting the 2 routers using an Ethernet cable

Are you having the same issue if you connect to other network (other WiFi signals such as your office WiFi)?

Can i just direct plug in the asus rt-ax1800hp router to replace the huawei router
Not possible
The Huawei router is also an ONU

What you can do is set the Huawei into bridge mode

So trouble some, i m tech nerd
Another option:

If you still have the installer's phone number, you can try and ask him if he can assist you with this
But don't expect him to do it for free la. Have to consider his time and petrol as well. Minimum RM100 as his pocket money

Anyhow, to "bridge" from the ori huawei router, means i have to turn on 3 units of router every day, am i right?
No. You just need the Huawei ONU and the ASUS Router
QUOTE(LA773 @ Jun 1 2023, 05:45 PM)
I have wonder why cannot use the asus as the ONU itself? Since the huawei unit can
Because the ASUS router doesn't have a fiber port
The ONU acts as a converter from optical signal to electrical signal & vice versa
