Hi Eithanius,

Maybe you can try updating the firmware of the Lyra using the app.

You can go to setting and press the firmware update, it will update all the 3 units if there is new firmware.

Thank you
*
Already updated first day I got the Lyra...

Wanna ask... Asus has no WiFi Security Cameras that can work in tandem with its networking products...?

Hi

can asus RT-N12HP_B1 support current unifi 300mbps speed. im getting download speed 90 mbps upload 50mbps both wireless or wired cable.
*
Confirm need a new router...

I was having 30mbps upgraded to 100mbps, my N12HP also showing 90mbps wireless. Luckily the upgrade came with the DIR-842.

Now I have my N12HP as spare, was thinking of selling it off but the recent speed upgrade will probably push its resale value into extinction... sweat.gif

Lyra does not support Unifi.

You need to get a router that support Unifi to connect to the Internet, then connect your Lyra under that router, use it as AP instead of router.

Alternatively, you can get a smart switch that support VLAN tagging for workaround solution.

I’m using Lyra solely on Unifi...

Wanna ask, is there a way to force a 5GHz-only connection on the Lyra...? Or disable 2.4GHz altogether...?

ASUSmy or any other experts here, need your help a bit...

Updated my Asus Lyra firmware from 45122 to 45891 this morning and the Lyra app on iOS failed to detect node 2 and 3. However node 2 and 3 connections are fine considering I still can access the internet from my room on 2nd floor.

Primary node is placed on ground floor, node 2 on 1st floor, and node 3 standby.

Is it possible to downgrade back to firmware 45122 without having to setup all over again..?

I suggest you to reset everything and use AiMesh mode instead of Lyra mesh.

I found it to be a lot more reliable. You can setup using the ASUS router app.
*
Does the ASUS Router app supports adding Lyra nodes...? Can't seem to find any settings on that beyond just Lyra offline...

EDIT: nvm, found it...

Is there supposed to be a difference in signal strength between Lyra nodes when setting up mesh on ASUS Lyra app compared to Aimesh on ASUS Router app...?

Or izzit the updated firmware 45891 actually improves the signal...?

New ASUS Router app is great for AiMesh users.

It can show you the AiMesh topology clearer now. smile.gif

In fact this is now better than the Asus Lyra app... coincidentally both updates came and Lyra app seemed to screwed up a bit on the topology map...

hello all sifu
I wonder if I go for ax11000 stand-alone unit or two units of ac86u to cover no dead spot for a double storey terrace ?
Just so I can deploy wifi network camera.

Ax11000 now on Lazada about 2k
Ac86u about 850 each

OT: What brand of wifi network camera are you using...?

keen to know which network cam solution are you looking at, my hardwired cctv keeps giving problems and i am also exploring going wireless

No idea yet... Only know of Netgear Arlo and Logitech that can go wireless, but I'm also looking for the following key factors like local storage and lasting battery... I hate going subscription just for cloud storage...

Now there's a new issue, the app crashes few seconds after launching most of the time if this new Asus Notice is enabled. If I disable in the Notification Settings then it doesn't crash.
*
Have you tried restarting your phone instead... or use another phone to see if the app also crashes...?

Anyone here knows why my Asus router app is detecting 4 anonymous offline devices on my Lyra network..? When I blocked these 4 devices from Internet connection via the Asus router app on my iPhone, I ended up blocking internet access to my iPad, even though the MAC address does not match those of 4 anon devices.

ASUSmy, A bug in the firmware or the app...?

App and Lyra firmware is up to date.

All 4 anon devices have almost similar MAC addresses (16:7B:44:CF:77:xx)

Attached Image

EDIT: If I use the green Lyra app, the 4 anon offline devices do not exist at all.

Are there more powerful Asus mesh routers (in terms of signal strength) compared to the original Lyra setup...? Preferably 3-node setup.

And why would the Asus firmware kept assigning my iPad wifi to the node of the furthest point resulting in terrible wifi connection. Is there an option to manually assigning devices to the closest node.

I’ve been having this connection problem ever since updated to the latest firmware. That also despite resetting the nodes to factory settings and start from scratch. Can I downgrade the firmware to a last stable version and if successful, is there a way to prevent the Asus app from notifying me to upgrade to the current firmware until a newer firmware is available...?
