Someone asked this but I think it wasn't answered, so I'm gonna ask again (please don't shoot me).

If we flash the update via PC Odin, will it wipe our data?

Thanks all smile.gif

You should update, stock usually has not much issue for battery. It is the custom ROM which has battery draining
issue. tongue.gif

Been around android too long and open too many zip files. Dunno when i know this but i just know. If you explore the script in the zip files, you can create almost any flashable zip to flash anything.

huh, sorry, so do you mean you just download it from sammobile, then flash it via mobile odin, then it will unroot your phone and the counter will go back to 0? means like a brand new phone without any flaw? rclxms.gif

The story was like this. I rooted my phone last week when it was 4.1.1 using the ExynosAbuse exploit and I checked the counter was still 0 but my Status was Modified so I can't update using OTA method.

Then I downloaded the latest Malaysia 4.1.2 firmware via Sammobile link this morning and the only way to update it is through Mobile Odin Pro. Before doing the upgrading I have backup my EFS (just for insurance). So I updated the new firmware using Mobile Odin Pro by enabling all the EverRoot Options. After the installation was done, I check the Status of my phone and I was surprise that it stated as Normal and to confirm I try OTA and it responded that I have the latest software update instead of can't updated due to Modified status.... rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

Mine is SME set from Maxis.

Do we need to press anything to enable it? I have yet to receive mine, or it will be released to users in batches? biggrin.gif
