Final chapter in the Chronicles of The Allshare Dongle:

1. You need stock rom (can be rooted and deodexed)
2. You need Triangle Away to set counter to 0 and status to Official
3. You can flash a custom RECOVERY (Philztouch successful)
4. You CANNOT flash a custom kernel.

Looks like it detects AND 2 conditions:
Your counter is zero, and your kernel is stock.

I conjecture it has to do with securing the allshare transmission stream due to DRM...

thanks a million. Save me tonnes of time. Flashed mine with the rooted stock rom in your PM. Works great now but kinda pointless as i cannot load the full arsenal of my gigantic games - Asphalt 7, NFS MW, Shadow Gun, Mass Effect, FIFA 12, etc and play them on big screen. sad.gif Have to leave them on the Nexus 7 32GB. Or might just revert back to custom rom and swap memory to get back the full arsenal of games.

My wife's will be able to get more benefit since she only streams videos to the big screen. biggrin.gif

Anyone having issue with applications which keep on crashing? Most app including play store is crashing. It all started when my internal was low I.e. less than 500mb. But although I managed to clear some space some apps are still crashing. Any idea why? My internal memory is now 1.4Gb.

Have you tried stock kernel, rooted, init.d support (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1950066) which should allow you to do memory card swap so you can load all your games hmm.gif I dunno just guessing

Users facing weird issues such as auto reset, shutdown, unexpected freezing do check your 3rd party apps
I have used so many types of roms n kernels n have never experienced such issues. Is not normally rom issues. Either apps or motherboard problem
I never use a single cracked pirate app

need to give us more details, bro. Stock or custom rom? kernel? any crack apps installed? what is the last apps you install before the crashing start happening?

we can't help if you just state your problem generally.

Yes read the init.d thing probably try today. Anyway GL to SD probably might work without need of init.d

@Cynox, try GL to SD and see if it works ?

Directory binder script or app should work as you dun need to run it early in boot with init.d. Just use those binding app or if you use script use script manager app to execute the scripts after boot. These methods dun need init.d.

Stock kernel does not support init.d but you can mod it to add support.

you can't flash back DLL4 after DLL5 without full wipe as it will render some weird behaviours, what I've experience is the SIM LOCK won't be trigger after reboot (and phone show no 2g/3g network error) also the phone will face random SOD... but all will clean once you select full wipe after the DLL4 flash... sweat.gif

so meaning we can mod the stock kernel to support init.d and use the memory swap? no need to use custom kernel to swap anymore? hmmm, but the security hole is still there i suppose..
