i want to know which package is better CC from maybank?

my usage is for petro filling at petronas & online purchase. others im prefer to pay in cash.
went to maybank, they all said maybank 2 card is popular 1.

If you read the first page or the Credit card thread, you will see that this Maybankard2 is quite good. Apply that.

im already applied to maybank ikhwan cos i said to staff im only use for petro filling
and that 1 is using AMEX, im prefer to visa actually cos more wide use.
but still didnt heard any news, applied on saturday.
can i still make changes?

btw i went to shah alam seksyen 22 and sunway pyramid, both service sucks. they just didnt like to entertain people. and at sunway, the staff bring kids summore, i cant really concentrate wat the staff is talking, the kids always make noise.

my friend also mention 1U is more faster to get the card. can get within 2 hours

If you already apply or received MBB ikhwan then can ask them to convert/upgrade to 2card...

read from 1st post, i guess the benefit not different much, 2card get 2 card with AMEX and mastercard and some treat points stuff.
its good card if im always shopping, but normally im prefer shopping with cash. let me know if im wrong.
i just need CC for financial record btw. im too clean

They might not covert/upgrade to MBB2 card from yr MBB Ikhwan due to both are different types of credit cards even issued by Maybank. MBB Ikhwan is a Ikhwan card but MBB 2 card is another type of card (forgot the name)

I have exp this before as I used petronas Ikhwan credit card too and requested upgrade or convert to MBb2 cards but the staff in 1u said that both are different type of cards. But not sure what is the status now, maybe is different.

Please correct me if I'm wrong with this information.

MBB2 AMEX is issued by Maybank conventional bank arm

MBB Ikhwan is issued by Maybank Islamic bank arm

They're considered as two separate financial entities.

Thus, they won't convert it and you have to apply MBB2 AMEX separately.

Credit limits will be separately too!

Wanna ask, i just bought MAS ticket to singapore tomorrow online and use maybank amex cc.just 20min ago..

But i did not get any sms confirmation and check maybank2u and notice amex account still not update.

MAS already sent travel itenaries to my email

Is is already charge to the card or not yet?

Different from using visa where i get sms code.

1st time using amex here...any idea?

I dont recall receiving any code, but I do receive the normal SMS alert. If you are worried, you may call up CS and ask whether the payment is succesful or not.

U will only get the sms stating that the card was used, no confirmation sms or whatsoever.

It'll only appear on your M2U after MAS claim the charges, which occurs 1-2 day later. So if u have received the itenary from MAS, it means the transaction went through.

Hey all. Have any of you tried making increase credit limit application? How long does it usually take for Maybank to increase your credit limit if successful? And will they send you a mail confirmation stating that they've received your application? Thanks in advance!

About 5 days. They will notify, iirc through SMS. Not sure if they will still notify if the application is not succesful though.
