Typically it can be as high as 5% higher than the Bank exchange as both Visa / Master and your issuing Credit Card wants to earn this exchange rate gain.

Yes...i going to be higher than bank exchange rate but not to 5%...most like around 2-2.5% more depending on bank.. that why i say use the bank tt rate to estimate the budget not the exact figure for the budget.. base on my survery, maybank does offer the best exchange rate for cc comparing with the rest of the bank in malaysia.

I do agree Maybank give the best rate. I usually refers to XE Currency converter exchange rate and add in 1 - 1.5% then will be the rate charged to my Maybank CC.. http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/

Has anybody here actually used one of those China-made region-free, Cinavia-free and everything-can BD players? Are they any good? Please share your experience and views.

Great, hope to see your review soon. Yours is the high-end one? which model? I am thinking more of the cheaper (less than RM500) ones for the masses and poor pensioners!

Getting Started

|
Hi guys,
I just bought the Sony KDL-46W704A to get ready for the soon coming PS4.
Now I'm looking to buy a Blu-ray home theater system. Currently I can't decide on buying either the BDV-E4100 or BDV-E490. Same price but not sure which is better. Speakers will be mainly use for blu-ray movies and gaming. The only different that I'm aware of is the E4100 got hdmi in and out. I don't even know what's that for anyway. Not a tech savvy.. which one is the best choice the E-4100 or E490?
Thanks and regards!

If everything else being equal, I would definitely pick the one with the HDMI Input since you can then connect other HD devices (like your PS3/PS4) via HDMI to the HTiB. But I am not too sure if the E4100 has the HDMI input since the last time when I was seaching for my HTiB, this model, like many others at this price range has only HDMI output only. I could be wrong though but good to check on the actual unit before you buy just to make sure. Good luck!
