QUOTE(guitarleo @ Dec 30 2012, 11:37 PM)
Not a convincing performance for the team, especially for the first half. The whole team was just lost when opponent pressing the team.

Luckily it fixed for the second half. But the right side obliviously empty, Ramires should move forward to the right, not run back to the middle, Moses can do the job, but he don't get the chance. Once again Torres first touch is a big problem, it was awful. Somemore he lost to Distin for every long ball, he got no strength against Distin.

But Distin tackle is very good and spot on.
good defending from him, not good enough from Torres.

agreed with the torres comment. he haven't got the sticker instinct anymore. everytime want a tap-in goal. even in one of the his attempt that is called offside cant properly direct the kick to make the gk work.

Then you'll need some decent team's top scorer, the one they depend on all the time. United did this by taking Arsenal's RVP. Perhaps someone in the mold of Liverpool's Suarez.

this is my point! ok is not enough if we are to challenge for the title. out of all the title that we won, was it due to an OK striker?

goals out of something is like a moment of magic.. that was waaaay above my expectation. my expectation for torres? make the 'keeper work real hard. or torment the opposition defense. to lesser team and most importantly to the big boys. was my expectation too much? ask yourself and see how strikers from other top team perform and compare that to torres.

as i said, won't defend this guy anymore. how many season already? was he bigger than the club?

didnt manage to catch the game ..but for me 3 points in the bag again.

as we're trailing city with 1 game in hand..it's an extremely important to win vs qpr (as we can close the gap to possibly 1 point)

but pls la dont treat like them like last time. last time i heard ppll suggested rotate this rotate that vs qpr coz qpr had a very bad start (..til now hahah)

pls dont take them lightly

i think we should applause Rafa cuz with 1 goal down and bombarded by Everton, he immediately change the tactics & slowly we settle down and create our chances.

last night lampard showed real class and maturity. not because of the goals but because of how he has adapted to the new position. last time with ramires there, he tend to move forward and then caught out of position but that wasnt the case already. and luiz is indeed his best partner there. so, i am voting for both of them to start against qpr in midweek!

2nd, is how azpilicueta played. this guy impressed me the most. with the slow start to PL, i think this guy is bench warmer to ivanovic. but he proved me wrong. win tackles everywhere, and intercept so many passes. did his job well in attacking and awesomely while defending. he really look like ashley cole during his peak! really wish we can get another him to cover the left side as well!

oh, difference between luiz and ramires playing there? one is playing with brain, the other with maybe half a brain.

Bayer Leverkusen are showing interest in Chelsea winger Marko Marin.
The Germany player is keen to go out on loan after a disappointing debut season at Stamford Bridge which has been dogged by injury.
The 23-year-old former Werder Bremen star has held talks with interim manager Rafa Benitez.

I dont see AZPI is better than A.COLE yet, dont even need to compare at his peak. I would say A.COLE peak most probably during CA time where he link up with MALOUDA bombarding the left flank was awesome. His defending is still world class, is very difficult for opponent to dribble past him at the left and his numerous clear the ball off the goal line was game saviour.

Half brain ? that was harsh, they are different type of player. RAMIRES energy is what we used to have in ESSIEN and MAKELELE, the one that keep running and pressing for the whole 90min. Well he might not as good as past DM in defending but he offer penetration run and goal.

biggrin.gif, as usual ramires tend to go out of position, the only think he good at is his dribble that open up attacking option, but he's final pass sometime is very poor.

and

OFFER LAMPARD 2 MORE YEARS, AND ASHLEY ALSO.. smile.gif

I agree, we shouldn't kid ourselves that we don't need them anymore or that they're just a liability. Any club in the world would want these 2 in the team. These two are game winners, and have been for years. Hope chelsea makes the right move here.
