Hi, recently planned to buy wireless triggers for me and my friend, from our initial budget looks like the Aputure Trigmaster looks good. When mounted on body, the trigger 'triggers' the receivers but flash HVL-F42 wont fire. Googled around didnt find much then call a friend they say have the same problem, works fine on F43/F58 he said. *anyone to clarify 

Then decided to get the Strato (ver 1), works fine. Only that after being idle for awhile the flash went to 'sleep mode' then need to 'sync' (unmount the flash from trigger --> mount on to body --> click or half click shutter --> remount on to trigger) , every single time went to sleep mode.   

Anyone with this trigger tried on other flashes?

So does it mean, for any given lens that is mounted, when AF-ing, it will be at max aperture. So assuming at max aperture, lets say f/2.8 (and since shutter speed and ISO doesn't affect AF module performance), if light levels are perfectly exposed being 0EV, the camera will still be able to AF with normal performance. If light level drops (after sunset for example - and for argument sake, u only have a 20mm f/2.8 lens) your aperture is already at f/2.8, but because the AF sensor has a sensitivity of -3EV, you'd be able to get focus lock as though you're using an f/1.0 lens (as though more light is entering the lens to fall upon the AF module - but in fact, it's the boosted sensitivity of the AF module)

Does that make sense? Or am I seeing it wrong?

the only thing I didn't like about A99 now, is that I can't timer the exposure bracket photos. and the continuous exp bracket seem to stop at count of 2 instead of 3 despite set to 3.

strangely is continuous bracket of 3 worked fine before assignment.

good thing is that the shutter button does not require a CLICK to activate, so it's not so bad. No need worry about shaking the camera body.

oh ok. well, i need a remote wireless release if i can't timer the bracket. cos I shoot interior, sometimes I just need the camera to fire but I need to move away within the 10 second timer.

that aside, I love the LCD angles. It's a lot better than my 60D. I also love the focus peaking so I need not Zoom 5x / 10x just to see the area in focus.

I can live without the lack of timered bracket for the above convenience.

btw do you guys turn SteadyShot off when on tripod? I turned it off when on tripod. Very afraid of sensor movement, just in case.
