If I am not mistaken, the TCU will automagically detect that you are waiting for the traffic light and disengage the clutch. Whether the TCU engage the clutch upon fully or partial release of the brake, I am not quite sure. Normally I just fully release my brake pedal. Will test someday,
The clutch is disengaged in N or P, or when the footbrake is pressed. When shifted in to D / R / L and the footbrake is not pressed, the clutch will re-engage.
