hey yeti
the solution not seems to be working...
u mentioned to me to change the brightness
does that also affect the screensaver clock on the outer lcd?
*
Changing the brightness setting on the inner screen will also change the brightness setting on the outer screen. What do you mean by screensaver clock? The backlight is off when the outer screen displays the time only and changing the brightness won't affect that.

Why don't you just set the Setting > Initial Setup > Backlight into "Continuous". So you can read till your battery is out tongue.gif

Don't think there's anything you can do about that. Just hit the Voice Key while your phone is closed and let the backlight turn on. That's what I do tongue.gif

I'm still having problem to get RSD Lite installed because my Windows folder is not in my "C". Is there other way or program to install language pack into V3?

No way to do that, you'll have to use the USB cable.

kelvinyam, perhaps you'll have more luck with a more recent build of RSD Lite. Either that or you'll have to use another computer for modding your phone. There might be commandline installation options, but I'm not sure about that.

Found this, but don't dare to mess up with my system.

* Installing RSD Lite fails with error message "Default drive of D: detected [...]"

Try using another computer or re-installing the OS.

(Stupid answer!!!)

1) run regedit.exe

2) go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

3) change BootDir value from D: to C:

4) Run setup now

Will the warranty be void after soft modification? How can people know whether has it been mod before? Can it be un-mod? Thanks.

The reason warranty void is because if you flash your mobile, the flex and s/w firm no. is totally different from the original. Means they will know it. Well, how to avoid that? Just flash back your original firmware when you go for the service tongue.gif but mostly when your mobile spoil, what I mean here is your mobile hardware...means you can't do anything to reflash the firmware into the original then you have to return to the shop for the service they will know it...unless they don't know what is flash/firmware/flex then you can just escape from void warranty sweat.gif
