Hi guys,

I bought MH tics from KL-CDG then back from London-KL last week with the promo price. Received the MH upgrade email as well. Just called the Enrich CS and was told that at the current moment, there is no availability from KL-CDG flight.

As for Lon-KL only 1 seat is available and it'll cost me 35k enrich miles + RM518 ( top up to the nearest higher class tic as mine was promo tic ( and another RM688 for tax differences. Thing is I have about 300K maybank TPs to use before the inflation occur. Any suggestions guys?

Just receive email from Enrich. The following sentence is exciting  brows.gif
"After our recent well-received Enrich Hearts Australia campaign, we are set to roll out another redemption campaign with discounts up to 50%."

From what I remember its all increased  mad.gif

Zone 5 first class return from 320,000 to 520,000
Zone 5 business class return from 110,000 to 150,000
Zone 5 economy class return from 60,000 to 65,000

I think it's possible for them to increase the redemption rate on 16 feb and offer the mysterious 50% off. However the destinations are still unknown and very high risk to bet on it...

up to 50%

English language people.

They can offer 50% for Zone 1 flights and 30% for the rest. smile.gif

Looking at the direction they are headed, I do not think I want to bet on it. Good luck for those who are betting on it.

How about the 15% discount for online redemption? Can anyone confirm that the same is applicable to the new redemption scheme?

As you may be very well aware, recently we got a double whammy:

1st - News on MBB TP inflation for our Maybankard 2 Cards which also includes inflating TP for Enrich Miles. Effective 1 March 2015.

2nd - Enrich Miles Redemption Program will be revised effective 16 Febraury 2015.

I have published an article in regards to the above, click here to read my IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT For Maybank Credit Cards and Enrich Miles Conversion.

In the above article, I did a comparison between Enrich Miles and KrisFLyer (thanks to an iFriend at Facebook for info in respect to the KrisFlyer), and come 16 Feb 2015, EM and KF almost the same!!!

Oh ya, CX and KA need to check via their own website, using the same miles required in the table from AsiaMiles.

I did try to search... like KrisFlyer.. always on waiting list.

I read CX only releases seats for those claiming with miles quite close to the flight date - like 2 weeks before. So can't book far in advance

rjb123 already mentioned this, but from personal experience CX will release waitlisted flights. I've had CX business and first class open up close to flight time earlier. If you want you can search and book today and fly tomorrow as well. I did that with my KUL-JFK ticket on CX first last year biggrin.gif

SQ may or may not release waitlisted Saver bookings. I've had SQ first JFK-SIN which never got released, so I ended up on IAH-SIN first instead.

Thought of sharing as I believe there is some dilemma with some of you guys out there when it comes to using your Maybank cards for Agoda in conjunction with your travel.

Whether to use Agoda.com/maybank or Agoda.com/malaysiaairlines? The 7% discount can amount to quite a lot especially when staying for a few nights. But if flight and accommodation are covered by company then definitely go for Agoda.com/malaysiaairlines.

Treats points enrich miles (flight + hotel) + flight enrich miles + Agoda enrich miles earned for every work trip is really good.

tishaban, rjb123, rjb123 and maskedchan - thank you guys for your posts. Now I have some idea on AsiaMiles.

So for MAS, we can get confirm Business Class tickets whereas other airlines we will most probably be on waitlist (for the cheapest ticket which makes sense, only seat that are unsold are released). Not so good for me as I need to plan my travel plans way in advance.

In my article Important Announcement Maybank Credit Cards and Enrich Conversion, I gave a comparison redeeming for full Business Class between Malaysia Airlines versus Singapore Airlines and we need roughly the same number of miles and pay about the same for taxes.

Now, the thing about Enrich Miles beginning next week, is we can upgrade from Economy to Business Class KL to Europe (vise-versa) one way with only 40K EM (versus 35K currently). The increase not that drastic when compared to full redemption (150K EM vs 110K EM). And I bet MAS Economy ticket to London will be much much cheaper than SIA.

In my article A Little Bit Of This and A Little Bit of That - Vol.1 Chapter V, I mentioned how I managed to get confirm upgrade Business Class ticket from Paris to KL for my son and KL to Paris for my Sis where in both cases paid almost nothing extra. For my daughter's case where I bought return tickets KL/Paris, I managed to upgrade her to Business Class Paris to KL (with 35K EM) without needing to pay a single sen!!!

And for those who are lazy to read my article and do not wish to be on the waitlist, I shall repeat the process here for upgrading:

1. Call Enrich CS to confirm dates available for upgrade BEFORE buying the Economy Class ticket. Ask how may seats available too if you are flying with your partner or children.

2. Once you get dates where Business Class seats are available for immediate upgrade, then only go buy the Economy Class tickets. Better you do it ASAP before someone else go book it.

3. Upon booking the Economy Class ticket, call Enrich CS immediately to upgrade.

And of course use Maybankard 2 Cards AMEX Gold/Plat or Maybank 2 Cards AMEX RESERVE to pay for MAS tickets and earn 5X TP thumbup.gif
