Personally, I think there is little point in flying j for flights less than 5 hrs and non red eye....would prefer to reserve my points for long haul red eye flights...so all ASEAN distinctions are pointless....

I should add the mh 737 j product is ordinary and nothing outstanding....

yes, it will go up, as there are actually 3 tiers of redemption...and as the lower tier seats gets redeemed, the next tier will become available at higher miles...but that is uncommon, as you can almost always get the lowest tier....unless it is really super peak...

if you had redeemed before 1/8/16, you would have got a 15% discount, ie 19,125 miles...

it's because of the different percentage of redemption discount...so yes, smart can cost less miles than basic...

the problem is, the enrich site does not allow youto choose which....but generally display the "lowest" tier....which in this case, basic incurs a higher mile...

Few thousand miles wouldn't get you much...maybe a domestic lounge entry with 5k...

After the last enrich promotion, I am not holding my breath....

it's a problem when they start using short haul aircrafts for long haul...and if you get one of the old firefly or earlier leased 737s, you don't even get ife....

i just redeemed 2 j class tickets from oz...knowing mh, i doubt they will discount anything during the peak december period...some flights are asking for 150,000 miles per sector.....crazy....

what dates are you all talking about?...i cn't see any discounted flights to melbourne at all....

ah....the discounts only apply to journeys starting and ending in kl....no discount is starting from another point within msia....so the domestic sector will need to be added as extra...

damn....i just redeemed from mel at full miles, and it is now halfed....

two tickets....which means i used 55k miles more than necessary....but since it's only to kl, i need to get another ticket domestic....the redemption was the whole way with transit at klia.....

Yes, I saw that, but only for flights from and to KUL....if from/ to another domestic destination, no discount....

Just wasted 55k miles....

I estimated I wasted 95k miles, for 2 return redemption, one with and one without the online 15% discount...

I did the same to Melbourne....but cost me double that pounts....

Problem is, am and kf seldom can get confirmed redemption....always waiting list....

Excluding all 3 main domestic sectors....pen, KCH, bki

If they had open pen/KCH/bki, it may be different....
