QUOTE(birdman13200 @ Aug 20 2013, 07:30 PM) U r still using Desire or use other phone now? It look confuse to me, why not use ur current phone for wifi hotspot? Yes, I'm still using. Just use it to call and sms because the phone contain company sim card that provide free call, free sms and also free data. Sometimes I will use company free data first before use mine. I'm using a Huawei P6 now. |

I am an oldschool nokia fag. wife using HTC desire but always complain got "Insufficient memory" warning. so i bought a Lenovo P780 and gave it to her, now i takeover her HTC desire to root and mod.
over the past weekend i managed to s-off and root using Revolutionary tool, the tool automatically installed clockworkmod which is great and downloaded CM7.2.0.1 stable release. i have also plugged in a class-10 micro sd and partitioned 2gb for ext3 and balance 5gb on fat32 because i have read that we can actually increase the memory for htc desire using ssd card and no more low memory issue. following one guide, i installed link2sd but it doesnt give me what i wanted. it is just the same as the native app2sd (move to sd) available in the stock rom. i have installed only FB, youtube, whatsapp, gmail, flipboard and the low-memory warning comes again. damn frustrated because the guides mentioned that applications should go right into the 2gb portion on sd card and doesnt reduce internal memory (which has only 140mb.) but it didnt. read again and another guide suggested s2e (simple2ext) but from what i read it is just the same as link2sd, where the internal memory will still be utilised. Later tonite i'll wipe everything off and start afresh, will instead use data2sd and i hope this will be successful. if fail again i will just go back stock rom and sell off this phone. gggrrrr.... |

After reading about V6 supercharger script and many users are raving about it, i gave it a try.
my verdict : no difference felt. status states already 100% supercharged but i felt it is just the same like when before i installed the script. waste of time. |

QUOTE(birdman13200 @ Nov 9 2013, 09:29 AM) I use this HTC Desire for 28 months, then passed to my wife and she use for 11 months. Now officially put this phone aside, treat it as small tablet for my little son for gaming. This phone total serve me for 39 months, no bad. Nowadays, the life for a smartphone is much shorter, newer and faster phone come into market nearly every month. |
