New people discovering the wonders of AmiAmi are always happy.
Means general populace here buy locally most of the time?
Or did some people just recently got their credit card tongue.gif
Always assumed most of the readers here used online retailers...

me not so hardcore about collecting figure so never really go for online retail before this, only try official online retailer for fashion and gadget which cant be found here.

Those "not so hardcore" quotes forced me to look for my past posts, saying the same thing...
Interesting reasons, nonetheless.

So what's the feedback/first impressions on AmiAmi?
(Apologies if I sound pushy, need anonymous data on customer feedback regarding online retailers biggrin.gif)

just sharing my experience with online shops:

Amiami
- cheapest in price, best packaging
- most flexible as they allow combination/decombination of orders
- but stock runs out fast

Hobby Search
- moderate price, good after sales service
- cannot cancel after 1 week order, many things "cannot"
- they do have a "restock" category, quite useful for searching

HLJ
- higher price, acceptable packaging
- more stock

Play-Asia
- higher price
- do not like their packaging

mandarake
- good place to look for sold out or exclusive items
- be careful of the opened/unopened tags

*mostly using SAL

No worries mate
IMO, it's cheaper (eventho it's more expensive)
My reason been, u pay rm10-20 less, u get ur stuff after a month, but paying that little extra charges, u get it for 3-5 days after release.
As for AmiAmi, I can't comment much since it's the 1st online figure shop i bought my item, so far every detail is shown clearly, no dodgy condition and of cos no deposit before the product is release, and it might get cheaper than local if the currency drop like now biggrin.gif

BTW Aegis is delicious~ drool.gif drool.gif

At last, I managed to pay for my Mandarake order! They were kind enough to extend the deadline so after some calls and ID verification with the bank involved, the payment went through. I also learnt that my Public Bank card does not work with Mandarake unless used with Paypal. Al-Rajhi however doesn't have this problem.

Just to add to klaymore's post, Mandarake prices can be lower if there is 'box damage'. Also, always check the item description for 'stained' or missing parts to avoid buying them. As for Hobbysearch, be on the lookout for items in the Bargain section.

And anyone know where got sell motorbike model similar size to Cuirassier? I think 1:8 and must be cheap. Plan to remove it handle and attach to Saber bike. doh.gif

What happened, QC issues?

Although figmas are considered non-scale, they are usually within the 1/12 range. 1/8 is too large. If you still can't find a cheap bike for replacement parts, the alternative plan is to get a new bike altogether. Go buy a 1/12 scale Yamaha Vmax.

For me it's more to Mandarake, the best choice to look for Busou Shinkis besides Yahoo! Japan Auctions. Shinkis are expensive enough on the aftermarket (no thanks to the anime, Konami producing them in limited amounts and losing the factory) so the last thing I need is a nasty bid war with prices ending up around 10-15,000 yen.
