The route at Melawati East is actually shorter than West. But it is more difficult so more rest/stop are expected. Also try to make back pack as light as possible. There will be less ppl trekking this route compare to West becoz less scenery here to see and the routes are more difficult. Another thing to take note is that East has much much much more ants compare to the West. So for those who resist ants, try to wear a trekking glove as u may need to grab on rock, ropes and branches which is full of ants

this is my first time joining this activities...need some advice what i need to bring there?

Experience people can advice on this? need wear long sleeve or not? (scared ants....)

do we need a lot of stamina?

normally ppl will wear short sleeve, but if u wanna wear long sleeve also can. just will abit hot if wearing long sleeve.
for pant u can wear either long or short also can.
Please dont wear jeans as ur long pant !!!
