QUOTE(kalaso_85 @ Jun 5 2008, 04:20 AM) Alamak kalaso_85, don't think can go on 22 June la, we got other plans on that weekend....if not should be fun to join a bigger group go up. We are still going on with our plan this Saturday (7 June). Anybody hiking up on the same date??. Target meeting time is 5:30am at the Klang Gate Dam gates. Hope to be able to catch sunrise when we reach the top. Actually need some help and advice from those with experience on this route since we are first timers. Anything we need to be cautious? Any tips on the route? Starting point of the route? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Added on June 5, 2008, 4:07 pm QUOTE(saadnordin @ Jun 5 2008, 09:48 AM) Good job !! Hi
I am thinking of going up alone. But read a lot of forums saying the route is kinda hard. So am wondering whether I can tag along if you guys are going tomorrow? Bukit Tabur is sure interesting to hike ... almost all in one even include traffic noise at the background.
Share some of my pics taken last Saturday. Didn't had a clear sky for good pictures but on the bright side....no sunburn as well : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Tks for the compliment SoulPower. Actually all 4 of us who went there last Saturday are all fit as all manage to complete the route successfully. I guess I’m fit enuv to climb bkt melawati, but not sure about other higher mountains. I haven’t climb any mountain other than bkt melawati, so many of u out there shud be much more experience and fitter than me.
Next time would like to try Nuang, Ledang, may be even mount KK. but has to slowly gain experience 1st from climbing small mountain. Bkt Melawati is the only mountain around town which i know how to go there. Would appreciate if any1 can show me direction to other mountain or let me know if there is any hiking trip |

I think Gunung Ledang is a very nice place to go as well.... in my memory la becos the last time i was there was like almost 10 years ago. The waterfall and place is clean. Lots of campers. Quite sad looking at the Hutan Rekreasi Klang Gates below Bukit Melawati. So many polluters. Rubbish everywhere. DBKL should do more for the nature than spending their money decorating street lights.
Anyway, I think we should setup a LYN Hiking/Trekking Club. Clubbers can post upcoming events and plans so that others can join in as I see quite a few serious climbers here. Just my 2 cent worth. |

hey ladies & guys... have some question about this place.... does the ropes which i saw in some of the photos attached permanently on the hill or we have to bring our own ropes?
Anyway just went to Lepok falls last weekend quite a nice place.... it's not very far from Gunung Nuang. |
