i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. i'm currently using celcom 1 malaysia plan for my iphone. but it's always on 3G with the option to use 4G at my work place. the consequence is battery consumption of course. leaving my phone on 3G with minimal whatsapp and facebook will only last my battery for approx 12-13 hours.

the question is, is there any option (which i have not found) to only use 2G line (Edge) instead of the default 3G?

IINM, there is option toggle for LTE only & leave 3G for data connection
The 2G connection will automatically when the is no 3G coverage in specific area

Correct me if Im wrong~!

yeap. mine shows either 3G/2G (if there's not 3G) or 4G only. but using 3G draining battery too much. i guess no option for 2G only?

Looks like celcom updated their LTE coverage. Myfren reported in butterworth he manage to get LTE but justfor a while. checked their site coverage is extended to Seremban ady. And weird thing is my friend did not get his sim card changed nor activate the LTE service.

If your network doesnt support LTE yet like Digi or U Mobile, the the network settings will enable only the 3g Button. Means that your network is only configured for 2G/3G. But when your Network Provider (Maxis and Celcom) upgrades to LTE or 4G, then you would receive new settings from your provider and your phone will be LTE enabled. When you phone is LTE enabled, you would only find the LTE /4G toggle button. No more 3G button. So you can only toggle to off LTE or 4G but not 3G to 2G anymore. It your is running on 2G, it will show GPRS on the TOP Center of your Iphone. Please bear in mind LTE is only for Iphone 5 and 5s.

just want to ask about celcom iphone plan.. i dont really understand how it works

let say for prime plan (rm40 monthly) and the call rate is 15sen/min...

does it mean my call/sms will be deducted from rm40 and i will be charged 15sen/min only after exceeding my bundled minutes?

or

there is no bundled minutes. one minute call usage means rm40.15?

Answer in bold.

It's similar to the working of normal Celcom Prime Plan.

Hi guys, i am asking in behalf of a friend, she was wondering why is her celcom speed used with iphone 5s is too slow? Even trying to open google is taking too long. Previously she had no problem using the same sim card with a note 2.

Any help is much appreciated.

Call Celcom CS and ask them to reset your network settings. Problem solved.

hi ppl, im getting a 16gb gold bundled with a plan from celcom, any idea about the stock availability in KL? thanks!

BTW, cause since im going overseas for 5 months and in that period the plan would be useless for me, so i wonder if we can pause my plan for 5 months as in stop paying for that 5 months and resume my contract after that?
