Got mine from celcom penang center. Nanosim could be used immediately without any problem. Just that at the back of the phone near the apple logo there were 2 small white dots, which I only noticed when I was putting screen protector. Probably scufff marks but barely noticeable and im not from penang so not really bothered to get an exchange.

Same here... really disappointed with their services... i reigster last saturday.. but untill now i my phone still out of services... more than 1 week not services... i am existing celcom user (sup line user), the person told me i cant directly apply the iphone package... i need to terminate the existing line and re-register back the package... so need take around 3 days to activated... but today already more than 1 week.. i go other dealer to ask for status... the dealer person told me i actually i not need terminated my line to sign for iphone.. i can directly upgrade the package... so i no need to wait so long to get the phone... but the center where i sign package never told me that, somemore i double confirm with them 1st before i sign... now no ppl respond to me also... ask me to wait wait wait... dunno when i need to wait.....

which celcom branch did u go to? i suggest u to go to a celcom center instead of dealers as dealers are much slower as they have to submit documents to the celcom center.

blue cube is managed by 3rd party ppl. I had experience with one before and it was horrible. That was why I went to a celcom center straight.

Judging from your replies, seems that you are celcom staff or perhaps blind supporter of that telco

Did anyone have issue with celcom broadband? Mine is good but sometimes annoyingly my iphone will pickup edge instead of 3g..and that sometimes happens quite frequent.
*
same here. very frequent drop from 3g to Edge, but coverage wise is better than digi. Long term wise I think celcom is still cheaper than maxis, taking into consideration the 10/20 months rebate.

Hello!
I´m from Argentina, and soon I will be in Kuala Lumpur on vacation and wanted to buy an iPhone 5.

I have some doubts:

Its possible buy an iPhone 5 from Celcom store without contract, paying the full price (RM 2799)??? Or they sell only with contract???
And if I buy an iPhone paying full price, it´s like an iPhone factory unlocked??? Or I´m wrong?
When I return to Argentina can use it then was I use currently today my iPhone 4?

I can not buy it directly from the Apple Store Online because I have no time for shipment and delivery in Kuala Lumpur. I will stay only two days (weekend) in Kuala Lumpur.
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks!

Why not search through our garage sales section? I'm sure u'll be able to find one there.

is it just me or anyone else facing the same?

im on celcom network, using iphone 5. the network shown sometimes 3G, but most of the time E. but it didnt have any pattern, it just happen to fluctuate anytime, anywhere. im in penang by the way. butterworth area.

yes sometimes i manage to get up to 7mbps.
*
Im facing the same issue, at my work place I seem to get only 1-2 bar on 3g with i5, previously on my i4, I don't remember signal being so weak. There again, I work in a small district so I can't complain much.

Back at home in seremban, not much of a 3g problem, but can only get like 1mbps. I hope it's a telco issue rather than a hardware problem.

Just downloaded my December bill.

Bloody celcom charged me 5 bucks for the nano sim. I double confirmed at the Penang celcom branch while getting the nano sim from the customer representative. She said if u're buying the i5 from celcom, then no charges for the nano sim. If just want to change to nano sim then charge 5 bucks.

Now they charged me 5 bucks for the nano sim. Small amount I know, but I called in to the CS @ 1111 to enquire. The CS can't even speak proper english and best part is she said less than 1 yr customer with celcom have to pay 5 bucks for the nano sim. I asked to speak to her manager, she put me on hold for about 10 mins, came back and ask me to go bck to Penang to look for that representative that spoke to me and ask back the 5 bucks for her.

For goodness sake, what the hell is wrong with celcom man?

lol. rm5 also u rage already? can buy 2k phone but rage for rm5?
i also got my december bill, which is my 1st bill. porting from digi last 3 weeks.
total  74.26, but since got advance payment,  150-74.25= - 75.24
so i no need to pay 2months bills because of advance payment.
*
I'm not raging. And yes it's just 5 bucks.

Small fart to me anyway compared to what I earn daily. Principles are principles. How do u expect ur customers to use the new phone with their existing sim card?

Even if the phone is 20k I will rage. Simple point.

I called bck shortly after I spoke to that useless girl. another malay girl lodged a report for me and told that she will get bck to me in 3 working days. Again I know it's just 5 bucks but I see no reason paying celcom for nothing.

That's strange, maybe their SOP is not that clear. Me and my wife switched to nano sim for free at Bluecube MidValley.
*
Yeah but logically speaking they shouldn't charge because I bought the phone from them.

Nvm, give them till next month to refund me, if they don't I'll make a fuss again. =P

there is nth special with the new celcom iphone plan actually. Just the basic prime/elite/premier plan with bundle data. U can subscribe to the plan urself but just without the rebate and extra 1gb data if u aint buying the iphone

Remembered last time some company here are handing out iPods to their workers (iPods are the 'in' thing that time), and those iPods made their way to internet haha.

btw gonna ask for existing Celcom subbers, are your internet being cut or only throttled once quota is reached? Got a bit confused lately.
*
I asked when I bought my iphone with them.. Was told that they will cut off the data instead of throttling the speed. But the last time I exceeded my data limit they didnt stop my data maybe it'll take a lil while.

Maybe, new Nano SIM card is only issued for new customer, eh??? Better to check with CELCOM what is their SOP. Wonder what is MAXIS's SOP????
*
No, I got a new nano sim when I purchased my iphone 5 from them. As long as if u purchase the phone from them, they should issue u a new nano sim. Although I was charged RM10 for the nano sim which I fucuk them kao kao for charging me.

Checked my January bill and celcom haven't refunded me my RM5 nano sim charge.

Wrote in to them through their FB, let's see what they can do this time. Not gonna call in anymore, it's just a plain waste of my time talking to those ppl.

bought iphone 5 from celcom week ago. they said have 2 years warranty. 1 yr from apple, 1 year from celcom. is this true?

Don't think so. Take everything that celcom staff said as a pinch of salt. Some of them know nuts about what they're selling.

That's for iphone 4s.

For the iphone 5, RM58 is for 3gb data + extra 1gb when u finish up your data allocation.
