FYI, those who are going to download, this game support plug and play, copy and paste from Cyber Cafe to your Desktop and you are free to play the game. BTW, i notice buying from local game distributors like offgamers is cheaper if anyone is planning to buy standard package, etc. [my 2cents]

Yup, its PnP..so if u save ur files like say in ur external drive, u can play anywhere as long as the hardware is supported nod.gif

Any yes, gotta agree with u on that last note, buying from local distro is a tad cheaper compared to buying it directly from anet etc etc nod.gif

the beta events only give us a glimpse of the expansion content , but still give us idea of what it will be like. generally anet add new way of progression i.e. the mastery, you gain mastery point progression by competing events.

if you like GW2 and enjoy the game, it would be worth it because you'll be playing a lot of new content. regarding price, the price now is for pre-purchase, which give access to beta event. if you can wait until the launch or even a month or 2 after the launch, you may be able to buy it at lower price, may be around $35-$40 for the standard edition, like previously happen to the original GW2. exchange rate ? can't do much... blame jibby. smile.gif

personally i spent that much time just on GW2 alone, and it gave me that much of fun, yes the rates are insane now, but knowing how much time i will spend on it again, i think the price is worth it compared to other AAA games that spams you with dlc later on

i admit, some of their decisions are pretty fucked up, but ill support anet as im still happy with the game in general, purchased the ultimate edition, cost me close to rm450 after conversion

I love GW2 and excited with the new expansion, especially the new stuffs for ranger and engineer.. But...

I'm not going to jump in Heart of thorn just yet. Not because their decision regarding old players and the expansion but.. Our weak currency.. Even the standard expansion costs about RM 200.. Better off with Fallout 4 imho..

If they release physical copy and local retailers managed to get them for a decent price(doubt it).. I might consider HoT..

dont worry, other than story and raids, i dont think you will miss out much

most of the vets are kinda reluctant to get hot too, and its easily understandable, mainly due to the current route anet has taken and price factor due to currency rates.

just enjoy the specialization and seasonal contents
