Yes agree with your view on this.

A lot of people do not know, one of the reason for the hatred towards them is because the Devil targets them.

Why the Devil targets Israel?, because Jesus was born as a Jew.

That is why you see the constant attack on Israel by other countries.

i have 2 sensitive question here, what do you think of the Israel? Can you accept the Jews?
*
Hmm .. not sure why sensitive ... it's not about our accepting .... but of God's choosing e.g. believers (reality of the type of Israel) are of God's choosing. They will be restored at the Lord's coming back. Some points to consider from Zechariah:

1. Hardness Coming upon a Part of Israel

Romans 11:25b says that a hardness has come upon Israel in part until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in. In the present time, God seemingly has forsaken Israel, and Israel has become somewhat hard. This hardness will continue until the age of the Gentiles has been fulfilled.

2. All Israel to Be Saved

When the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, all Israel will be saved (Rom. 11:26-27). This will be Israel's household salvation. On the same day and at the same time, thousands of Israelites will be saved.

3. Perhaps Taking Place While the Great War of Armageddon Is About to End

It may be that this household salvation of Israel will take place while the great war of Armageddon is about to end (cf. Zech. 14:2-3). At the end of the war of Armageddon, Christ will come to earth, and the remnant of Israel will see Him whom they have pierced, will repent and wail, and will believe in Christ and receive Him (Rev. 1:7; Zech. 12:10). In this way all Israel will be saved. This will be the household salvation rendered to Israel by God.

4. Jehovah God Pouring Out on the House of David and on the Inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of Grace and of Supplications

Zechariah 12:10a says, "I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and of supplications; and they will look upon Me, whom they have pierced." In Acts 2 God poured out His Spirit upon all flesh (v. 17), and three thousand were saved. But when God pours out the Spirit of grace upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, many thousands of Israel, even the entire race of Israel, will be saved.

By the time of the Lord's second appearing, the remnant of Israel will have suffered all kinds of hardship. They suffered the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 and were scattered to other countries. In these other countries they continued to suffer persecution. Today most of the Jews remain in dispersion, but many are returning to the nation of Israel. At the time of Antichrist, two-thirds in all the land of Israel will be slaughtered (13:8-9a). Half of the city of Jerusalem will go forth into captivity (14:2). The half which remains will no longer have any taste for human life or for acquiring possessions and high positions. They will realize that they are short of God and will exercise their spirit (12:1), not their mind. At this juncture they will repent, because they have lost their taste for everything. The Holy Spirit will be poured out upon them, and they will follow their spirit to be fully occupied with God. I believe that because they will have learned that everything apart from God is vanity and because they will exercise their spirit, the pouring out of the Spirit of God upon them will be intensified. The Jews on the day of Pentecost were stubborn and hard. Hence, the Spirit of power was poured out to inspire them to repent. But the inhabitants of Jerusalem in Zechariah 12:10 will have already repented; therefore, the Spirit of grace will be poured out upon them so that they can receive the Triune God as their enjoyment.

Zechariah 12:10a also tells us that they will look upon Him whom they have pierced. This means that they will look upon the Christ who was pierced by them. Revelation 1:7a refers to this: "Behold, He comes with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him." The piercing of Christ is the foundation of redemption. Apart from Christ's being pierced, there would be no base for our redemption.

The repentant Jews will look upon the One whom they have pierced. Although it was their forefathers who pierced the Lord Jesus, God counts that as something done by these repentant ones. The reason for this is that in the sight of God the entire people of Israel is one person.

a. Wailing over Him with Wailing and Crying Bitterly over Him with Bitter Crying

Zechariah 12:10b goes on to say, "They will wail over Him with wailing as for an only son and cry bitterly over Him with bitter crying as for a firstborn son." An only son is most dear to his parents, and a firstborn son has honor among the many sons. Repentant Israel will wail over Christ as the only Son of God and will cry bitterly over Him as the firstborn Son of God.

b. There Being Great Wailing in Jerusalem

In that day there will be great wailing in Jerusalem. The land will wail, every family apart: the family of David and their wives apart; the family of Nathan and their wives apart; the family of Levi and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites and their wives apart; all the families, the whole household of Israel, that remain (Zech. 12:11-14). Here we have three kinds of families: the royal family of David, the family of the priesthood (Nathan and Levi), and the family of an evil man (Shimei, who cursed David). Zechariah uses these families as illustrations. All those who look upon Christ, the pierced One, with a repentant spirit, will wail over Him.

I think he meant sensitive because of the continuous subconscious hatred propaganda by local media.

As such it naturally also attached subconscious fear whenever anyone opens their mouth and talk about Israel in Malaysia.

I don't know if anyone notice this thing, but I do feel the propaganda very clearly and thus learn to unblock this sensitive fear by thinking from a wider perspective.

I don't have to submit to this ridiculous fear but talk openly whenever opportunities present itself.

beautiful , pehkay. Early CHurch Father's writing, u really do your research and reading! I enjoy your sharing, keep it coming. For I have no time myself to ECF writings, let alone Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologica, St Augustine and Augustine of Hippo's..

QUOTE(pehkay @ Dec 26 2012, 10:47 AM)
Ah (you are asking the right question biggrin.gif) ...... but that was only redemption ... to restore us to the original position of Adam. Otherwise, we have no RIGHT to receive the divine life to grow as the sons of God. But salvation is not just redemption only.

I think most are clear that the Lord has no sin (Rom 8:3). But rarely do people see that although his humanity is perfect, it was not being glorified or brought into glory yet. Well ... to make it clear, our humanity requires 2 steps (fallen -> original (redemption) -> uplifted) through sanctification. But the Lord's humanity is sinless, yet His humanity needs to go through death and resurrection so that the divine life concealed in His humanity will be released.

This is clearly seen in Rom 1:3-4. Through His resurrection, Christ became the firstborn Son of God, full of the essence of God’s holiness, not only in His spirit, but also in His body. Before His death and resurrection the holiness of God was in Christ’s spirit, but this holy essence had not been manifested in His flesh. In other words, it had not permeated His flesh. It was through death and resurrection that God’s holy essence saturated the physical body of the Lord Jesus (glorification).

Concerning the Lord Jesus, the Spirit of holiness was within Him before His death and resurrection. This Spirit of holiness is the divine essence of holiness. Through the process of death and resurrection, this holy essence saturated and permeated the Lord’s humanity, including His flesh. As believers in the Lord Jesus, we also have the divine essence of holiness, which is the Spirit of holiness, the very Christ, in our spirit. Because this holy essence is still concealed within our humanity, we need to pass through a process under God’s sovereign arrangement that will enable this essence to saturate our entire being.

Now (in His resurrection) He is the Son of God in a way that is more wonderful than before, for now He has both the divine nature and the resurrected, transformed, uplifted, glorified, and designated human nature.

As the Son of God with both divinity and humanity, Christ is now the pattern and model for the mass production of the many sons of God. God does not want just one Son, the only begotten Son; He desires many sons, all of whom are the mass production of the Firstborn (John 12:24, Rom 8:29)

PS. Even if Adam didn't fell (and corrupted his perfect humanity) ... it didn't met God's purpose to be life to man (putting man in front of tree of life) .... God wants man to receive Him as the divine life into him ...

yes, that we are made firstborns !!! thumbup.gif

I remembered you wrote and I saved it to memo:
QUOTE
In us, the Triune God has been working in us since our regeneration and will continue until we are exactly the same as the firstborn Son of God.
''Jesus Christ is the faithful witness,
the firstborn of the dead and ruler of the kings of the earth.'' (Rv1:5-8)

All of us as God’s chosen ones need to pass through the processes of sanctification, renewing, transformation, and conformation unto the glorification of our entire being.
We are in the processed Triune God for Him to work in us to the extent that we are exactly the same as the embodiment of God, the firstborn Son of God, so that we all may become the embodiment of God. The firstborn Son of God is the individual embodiment of God; we as the many sons of God are the corporate embodiment of God. The reality of this embodiment is the all-inclusive Spirit. When this embodiment is expressed and enlarged, it is the Body of Christ.

Funny how I read on facebook one of our brother writing 'What if I can show u God became unholy ONCE'

and he quoted:
QUOTE
2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Misconception: Christ was born to take our sins upon Himself ... in fact.

and in reply, other brothers as we share in consensus:

Christ had no personal sin. That is common basic Truth. Taking on our sins is a covenantal expression. Not a literal. It's like me saying, "I am taking the burdens of my friend's difficulty as my own"...I don't mean that I am taking my friend's problems as my own. I am saying that I am handling his issues on my own. How i do so may not be evident to everyone else just as Christ taking on our sins is not made evident to us as to HOW He does so.

Jesus taking on our sins is like the parent who goes to the judge and places a bond to free us from prison. Now the prison we were in were the chains of our sins including the original sin that kept us from the Gates of Heaven. The doors were locked we were bound to not get back in with God who is our original destination until the devil tempted us and we remained in that weakness through out the ages before Jesus’ Sacrifice.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Belated Blessed Christmas to everyone in here! smile.gif

I shared this earlier in another thread but I guessed I posted in the incorrect thread (or maybe God sent me there to awake the souls of others). I just found out there is a LYN Christian Fellowship V6 (Group) from one of the fellow members in here. And here I am. Thank God for sending me a messenger smile.gif

Would like to share with everyone my life-changing testimony that God changed me and came into my life. If you don't believe it, I don't mind. You may choose to mock me, or call me a liar, or maybe I need mental psychiatric help (tanjong rambutan), or maybe I am telling the truth...? You may share your own testimony too. smile.gif

If you are currently living a life of bondages - drug addiction, sex addiction, alcohol addiction, gambling addiction, jealousy, hatred, fame, fortune, money; feeling spiritually empty (you have done all there is in this life, feeling physically satisfied, but you feel something is still missing.... what else is there to life?? You wake up in the morning thinking, is this all there is to life? This testimony is destined by God for you to read. It is not by accident or coincidence you are reading this. JOHN 8:32 – THEN YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE

All Glory to God! - by Allan Phang

20 Dec 2012, by Allan Phang:

Firstly, I would like to thank God for His grace and mercy for giving me this opportunity to share my testimony. I come humbly before God as I share my testimony on how God has touched my life. It is a bit long… sorry about that but what needs to be said has to be said. "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." (Micah 6:8).

All Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ!

Why am I sharing this? After my late grandfather’s death recently, I realized that if I don’t share my testimony, I will be doing a great injustice to everyone I know. Our life on earth is short. Although this article is only a summary of my testimony shared during my church baptism, I would like to share this testimony to everyone out there– my friends, associates and especially everyone who is facing difficulties in your life. There is hope…there is a God.

Ever since God came into my life, friends and family members alike used to frequently asked me this question, "Allan, what changed you? You're a changed person for the better. How did it happen? Why now?"

Most of the things that I did in the past were for my own self indulgence and personal glory (Please read this part carefully. There are many of my generation – Generation X and Y who suffer similiar bondages). I was too engrossed in and blinded by the lifestyles of the world – MONEY, FAME, FORTUNE, PARTY and GIRLS were constantly on my mind. These were the trophies I was well-known for among my friends. My peer nickname back then was 'Party King', 'Player' and 'Playboy'. I used to go clubbing, partying or raving, sometimes up to seven days a week! I was addicted to drinking alcohol, opening bottle after bottle of liquor, yamseng* glass after glass, getting drunk, talking like a samseng or gangster, swearing and cursing with many languages like there is no tomorrow, gambling in casinos, playing 4D, hacking computers, involving with designer drugs and illicit underworld activities and worshipping satanic forces unconsciously. Despite me having the fast and glorious lifestyle, I was still jealous of those richer than me, living in bigger houses and had hotter girl friends. I was also revengeful and hateful to those who hurt me and the list goes on.

I used to be very proud of myself. In my line of work, I meet a lot of VVIPS, including billionaires, millionaires, people with high authority, ministers, heads of state, the cream of the crop of the powerful people in the country. I felt that I was on top of this world until I met God.

Photo References: The VVIPS I meet in my line of work: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3...33963578&type=3 (Just some photos. Not all are in here)

So when my friends asked me, “What changed you?”, my reply was, "It's not me. It’s all GOD’s work." When I became a believer, I was constantly judged and smirked upon for upholding my new found faith. My reply to them was: "You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat." (Romans 14:10)

Talking about faith, I have heard testimonies from Malaysian non-believers who used the name of JESUS to cast away evil spirits and demons that were disturbing them. They felt helpless using chants of other faiths which didn’t work. But when they used the name of JESUS, the demons disappeared instantly! And after their personal encounters, they became believers of Christ. The Bible says that the Name of Jesus is above every name! "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and give Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:9-11). When our words have become His Words, every evil force around us must bow to that Name. Jesus has given us the authority to use His Name.
source: Your Words Hold A Miracle. The Power of Speaking God's Word. By John Osteen

I’ve also heard the testimony of a previous gang leader in Kuala Lumpur who accepted Christ and is now serving the Lord. And just a couple of days ago, I had the opportunity to listen to a testimony of a person who was involved in the navy, special forces and organized crime. He was in the country’s Most Wanted List and ended up serving jail time. But now, he is serving the Lord in many nations! Friends, God has no favourites in the world we live in. He uses people in the most mysterious ways, regardless of one’s material wealth or popularity. "But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites." (Colossians 3:25)

Testimony of Bro Owen Pomana (was on Most Wanted List for 17 charges, ie: armed kidnapping and carjacking of a wealthy businessman’s son, robbed the biggest drug dealers in the state). “That night I went down to the beach in front of my apartment, and I cried out, ‘If there is a God, you need to help me. You know my life. If you help me, I promise to give up the guns, the drugs and the violence’.”

My dad passed away when I was only two years old and I was the only child. I didn’t have any fatherly figure to look up to. But I thank God for my mum who single-handedly raised me up as the sole-bread winner of the household. Born in a Christian family, I was practically 'dragged' out of my bed every Sunday morning and forced to attend Sunday school untill I was 12 years old… Sound familiar? I also attended Bible classes untill I was 15 years old and served in ministry. In college, I attended the college's Christian Fellowship. Once I started working, God was completely out of my life. I was lost for approximately 10 years, only seeking and praying to God when I faced problems during that time… Sound familiar again?

Although I made my yearly visit to church during Christmas and showed other's that I am a Christian, I was only a Christian on official papers, but deep down inside me, I had no clue, and I did not understand what and who Jesus Christ is all about. I did not read the Bible because I couldn’t understand a word in the Bible at all. And every time I suffered a bad relationship– heartbroken and dejected– I would go out and drown my sorrows away in alcohol and clubbing thinking that it would make me feel better, which did leave me feeling good for awhile. But when the next day came, after a hangover, the cycle repeated itself like a “repeat button” on the remote control. I was in a downward spiral effect. In short, I was lost for many, many years walking in the wilderness. I had no direction in life, no hope, and felt very lifeless. I was spiritually empty, if not negative already.

Then, one day, a friend of mine from Glad Tidings PJ shared the gospel to me. I was deeply touched and convicted by the Holy Spirit that I was not walking right with God at all. It seemed like God was giving me a tight slap!! Thank God for it!

THAT WAS MY TURNING POINT OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!

That Sunday itself (April 15th, 2012), I went to Glad Tidings PJ. The moment I stepped into the church, I felt a sense of serenity and joy that descended upon me. When Pastor Vincent Leoh called for an altar call, I went out, said the sinner’s prayer (with the help of Pastor Michael Tan too) and committed my life fully to Christ on that day itself.

Without wasting time, I joined a cell group the following Friday and ever since then, I have been attending the cell group every week, rain or shine. I enjoy the fellowship! The members are very encouraging and I learned so much about the Word of God. I also started attending BSF – Bible Study Fellowship. If someone told me about it earlier, I would have given them the “you must be kidding me” kind of look because I was the last person to ever go near a Bible back then!

Since then, I have attended a few courses conducted by pastors in the church. I also went to the Glad Tidings PJ church camp this year and it was indeed an eye opener for me. It’s great to be in the family of God and enjoy God’s wonderful presence in the camp. During the camp, I wept in front of a crowd of a few hundred people. Never in my life have I cried publicly like that. I later realized that I was touched by the Holy Spirit.

My decision to accept Christ was not easy. I felt as if I was rowing against the multitude current of waves. I faced a lot of resistance when I accepted Christ. People close to me said “Allan, you (still) stand to lose the inheritance of this world (even) if you are baptized and become a born-again Christian." But a little voice in my heart replied automatically, “Allan, you are inheriting the Kingdom of God”.

Now, it has been about 8 months since I stepped into Glad Tidings PJ. Let me share with you what has taken place :

Firstly, I find so much love, joy and peace in God now overflowing in my heart that I cannot help but share the gospel and my experiences with my friends. As for my family, I am still praying very hard to share the Good News to them too. Hopefully, there will be more and more of my friends, especially the “yamseng, talk like a samseng” ones will come to know Christ.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:30-31)

user posted image

Secondly, now, I can speak in tongues. Praying and talking to Jesus daily is what I love to do now. His presence is so real and tangible in my life. Many of my friends even teased and made fun of me. Some have even nicknamed me Pastor, although I know that it is not man to be appointed as one but only by a calling from God.

Thirdly, reading the Bible is no longer a problem anymore. Now, the Word of God just pops up like a 3-D effect. It’s really awesome! Praise God!

user posted image

Fourthly, as I keep reading the Bible daily, God’s truth has indeed set me free– away from my old self, wrong beliefs, wrong lifestyles and bondages of the world.

JOHN 8:32 – THEN YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE

I now seek to have the fruits of the spirit in me:

"But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!"(Galatians 5:22-23)

I am free now to be who and what God wants me to be. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! The lifestyles that I enjoyed last time, now I find no fulfillment in them anymore. I believe this is what our Pastor Vincent Leoh has been talking about, dying to the old self and now I am a new creation in Christ Jesus.

I used to think that people who listen to Praise and Worship music were “crazy”. I thought in my heart, “Isn’t there any better music to listen to like Lady Gaga or rave music?” Now, I beg to differ. I realized what I have been missing out all this time! I now play Praise and Worship music to the max whenever I am driving! Ironic but true.

Now, on Fridays, no more clubbing for me but I have a new place to go, to my new found family in Christ and that is my home cell at Bandar Utama.

God has indeed blessed me with every spiritual blessings – physically, mentally and many areas of my life. I have witnessed how He has answered my prayers, touched and transformed me.

The 3 minutes youtube video below by Billy Graham basically sums up what I believe in. People from the worldly world get the most famous misconception that Christianity is just a religion. It is MORE than that. It is about having a RELATIONSHIP with GOD. I never expected my life to change… being released from the bondages and darkness of this world and living in the light. Definitely not some new-age theology or my own willpower could help me overcome my bondages and sins (They say only time heals. Incorrect. Only God heals). I am not perfect. Nobody is perfect. We are all born sinners. Please don't look at me, for I am just another human like you too. Look towards God. I am saved, ONLY by God's grace and mercy. All Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ!!

God will bless you and your desires in your heart. Seek Him. Seek first the Kingdom of God.

Thank you for reading. God bless you.

From a Child of God,

You must know that peacekeepers, and we CHristians generally favour peace, for God desires peace and love.

We do not condemn Israel as a whole, but the Zionist for their pride, they have always been, since before Jesus' Time, till now.

However, that does not constitute the whole of Israel.

The situation is also complicated as a whole. Ill brief it up to my own understanding.

Short history of Islam:

Story traced back to Abraham's wife and the second wife. when the Eldest Wife bore Abraham a son, that line continues to Jesus.

ELdest wife requested the 2nd's to do away with, therefore that is the line of Muhammed.

For some reason, devil has been inspiring muhammed (bec muhammed knew very well, the scriptures from Bible by learning from a syrian priest who also predicted he will be a great prophet)

And at that time, Jews control the economy of Palestine, and arabian peninsula.

He has good intentions of restoring unity among Arabs, and at first was very warming to Jews. Over time he became critical of Jews and wrote hateful things - that u can find on Quran about the Jews and invoke them in God's name.

"Islam" means both "peace" (etymologically connected with the Hebrew shalom) and "submission," or "surrender"; it is the peace that comes from submission to Allah's will.

In one sense Islam is a simplification of Christianity as Buddhism is a simplification of Hinduism.
But in another sense Islam adds to Christianity, for where Jews have only our "Old Testament" Scriptures and Christians add the New Testament, Moslems also add the Koran.
They accept the claims of the Jewish prophets to be sent by God.
They believe Jesus deepened this revelation and that Mohammed completed it. Mohammed is "the seal of the prophets."
He tells you how to live Jesus' ethic (Jesus is seen only as a man, an ethical teacher).

Actually, Islam neither merely simplifies Christianity nor merely adds to it, but reinterprets it—somewhat as Christianity does to Judaism.
As the Christian interpretation of the Old Testament is not the same as the Jewish one, the Moslem interpretation of the New Testament is not the same as the Christian one;
the Koran authoritatively interprets the New Testament as the New interprets the Old.

Now we know that God does not promote hate, and we also know, that Jesus is the last prophet, as well as Son of God, who establishes the New and Everlasting Covenant. Which means whoever that comes after..makes them false prophets.

Why? Because Christ has fulfilled the law. why would he claim to seal the prophets? Why would he come again as a law-giver? giving laws all the time does not help a person, for only when we are free from law, that we can be free from sin, not by our works.

What of a book who claims to be the most complete lawbook 'with instructions to how to wash hands, when to wake up, which animal is dirty etc' - to St Paul all these are null. We were told not to delve into useless works, but to have faith, receive grace and from it flows works of God.

How it Relate to current affairs:

when Islam brothers are provoked, they have one good moral value: the brotherhood (jihadism)

However, why solve with violence when it can be with peace?

why send missles and rockets into Israel, from schools and mosques and using children and human shields when prayer of peace, etc diplomatics can be done?

this is never ending issue where u can read on current affairs, lowyat section.

In fact, when the end of the world comes, all the islamic regions will gather, combine and destroy City of Jerusalem.

that is also will be, the 2nd coming of Christ.

Only Divine intervention can solve the triangles of Abrahamaic religion. Now, we could only pray for peace.

Without prayers,it could be worse.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Talking about faith, I have heard testimonies from Malaysian non-believers who used the name of JESUS to cast away evil spirits and demons that were disturbing them. They felt helpless using chants of other faiths which didn’t work. But when they used the name of JESUS, the demons disappeared instantly! And after their personal encounters, they became believers of Christ.

Praise God!

I now seek to have the fruits of the spirit in me:

"But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!"(Galatians 5:22-23)

I appreciate this sharing, however to poster: I maybe younger than you, but I hope I can help you in anyway I could.

THerefore I cut short your article to quote the most important parts which you believe now. I am sorry for not providing full advice as I am on a rush I have a plane to catch to Rome in 3 hours.

When a person accepts Christ, yes, Glory be to God, he is often on ecstacy.

1) Not everyone who says Lord Lord will enter Kingdom of Heaven. 'Matthew 7:21'

Anyone can do things in Jesus' name. And it can have an effect. It does not equate the person is a true follower of God. Some does things for fame, for self-glorification, for power. Yet Jesus allows it, Yet God allows it. But the power belongs to Christ alone.

THerefore, it works.

and Praise be to God to all those who come to believe after divine intervention. Which is in the case of your sharing.

2) 'now i can speak in tongues'

Dear brother u must understand that, the Lord desires us to be humble. Even if u have the power to speak in tongues, we should not boast of it. Maybe Unknown Warrior brother would elaborate and help you further in this one.

Also in the past, miracles are aplenty (Biblical miracles) bec Christians are evangelising. The early Christians. Ppl need to see in order to believe (Blessed are those who believe when they dont see)

Now in todays world, really, miracles like casting demons, visions of angels saints and Christ, Speak in tongues are rare. Not everybody has that. And blessed are those who have, but those gifts are to serve Christ.

THerefore we must be mindful of our speeches and be humble.

3) Everyone has fruits of the holy spirit, but not everyone has gifts of the holy spirit - refer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gifts_of_the_Holy_Spirit

It depends on Gods will, and how God intends for us to utilise us to serve Him and bring others closer to Him. Everyone has different vocation.

4) BE careful when you read the Bible. Often encourages group discussion, ask brothers n sis when you are doubtful, and have a bible which provides commentaries.

Be careful when choosing materials to listen to. Billy Graham may be good, but Early Church Father's writings are the best. (Google ECF writings)

Do not read Billy Graham's antisemitic articles and books though. Some are not in compliant with Bible or Christ's teachings.

5) Peace be with you, Merry Christmas and God be with You.

Last advice: We rejoice at Resurrection of Christ, but we must also remind ourselves of the Passion of Christ, because it is His Blood that redeems, His Life on earth is a model example to us all.

Never forget about it. It helps us when we face spiritual physical and mental warfare everyday.

De Luffy I appreciate it you bring this to World Issues section in Lowyat not here.

THis issue Christian brothers cannot solve, nor anyone in the world.

DIscussion is fruitless too, everyone has their side of stories and everyone is reluctant to reach out.

Only prayer.

Thank you.

Peace be with us all.

Praise God!

From a Child of God,

beautiful , pehkay. Early CHurch Father's writing, u really do your research and reading! I enjoy your sharing, keep it coming. For I have no time myself to ECF writings, let alone Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologica, St Augustine and Augustine of Hippo's..
yes, that we are made firstborns !!!  thumbup.gif

I remembered you wrote and I saved it to memo:
Funny how I read on facebook one of our brother writing 'What if I can show u God became unholy ONCE'

and he quoted:

Misconception: Christ was born to take our sins upon Himself ... in fact.
(snip)
*

Re: Misconception

True. thumbup.gif The Bible is very careful about this matter. If the Bible contained only John 1:14, we might think that He became a sinful person. But the Bible also contains Romans 8:3, which says that God sent His Son “in the likeness of the flesh of sin.” Christ became flesh, but He was only in the likeness of the flesh of sin. There was no sin in His flesh. He had only the likeness, not the sinful nature, of the flesh. Paul composed this phrase of three words: likeness, flesh, and sin. To say only flesh of sin would indicate sinful flesh. Moreover, Paul does not say that God sent His Son in the likeness of the flesh and stop there. He adds “of sin.” Likeness denotes strongly that Christ’s humanity does not have sin, but still that His humanity was in some way related to sin.

In another verse, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Paul says that Christ “did not know sin.” This means that He had no sin.

Yet, like you mentioned, 2 Corinthians 5:21 also says that this One who had no sin was made sin by God. Our mentality cannot understand this. If the Scriptures were not written this way, it would seem heretical to say that Christ was made sin; but Christ was made sin for us as our full substitute. If this had not happened, we could not have been saved. “Him who did not know sin He made sin on our behalf.” The One whom God made sin knew no sin.

This matter is portrayed in the Old Testament in the type of the brass serpent, described in Numbers 21. When the children of Israel sinned against God, they were bitten by serpents and were dying. Moses looked to God for them, and God told him to make a brass serpent and lift it up on a pole. Whoever looked upon that brass serpent would live, and many did (vv. 6-9).

Then in John 3 the Lord Jesus talked to Nicodemus about regeneration. Nicodemus was a Bible teacher (v. 10) and taught the Old Testament, especially the Pentateuch. “Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter the second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” (v. 4). The Lord implied that if he could go back to his mother’s womb and be born again, he would still be flesh: “That which is born of the flesh is flesh” (v. 6). To be reborn is not to be born a second time of the flesh, but to be born ofthe Spirit. “That which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (v. 6).

Nicodemus wondered how these things could be. Then the Lord Jesus said to him in a rebuking tone, “You are the teacher of Israel, and you do not know these things?” (v. 10). He then referred Nicodemus to the record in Numbers 21: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life” (vv. 14-15).

This portrait clearly indicates that the brass serpent bears only the appearance, the likeness, of the serpent, but not its poisonous nature. This corresponds with Paul’s word “in the likeness of the flesh of sin.”

When Christ died on the cross, He was not only a Lamb in the eyes of God but also a serpent. Both these aspects of Christ are in John. John 1:29 refers to the Lamb of God, and John 3:14 refers to the Son of Man, Christ, lifted up like the brass serpent in the wilderness. When Christ, our Redeemer, was on the cross, on the one hand, He was the Lamb of God to take away our sin; on the other hand, He was also a serpent. The holy Word does tell us that when Christ died on the cross, in the eyes of God He was like a brass serpent.

In order to accomplish a full redemption, He as the Son of God became flesh. The Word became incarnate. John, though, did not say that the Word became a man; he said, “The Word became flesh.” By the time of the incarnation, flesh was a negative term. But we must be careful in saying this. A serpent surely is negative, but this serpent is a brass serpent. It bears only the appearance of a serpent; it does not have its nature. Do you think that when Christ was made sin He had a sinful nature? Absolutely not! This is why Paul qualifies his word by saying, “who did not know sin.” Even though He was made sin by God, He had no sin in Him and He knew no sin. Our Lord is a wonderful Redeemer. The Bible tells us God became a man in the likeness of fallen and sinful flesh.

Re: ECF
Well ... how to put it ... er ... I am not really familiar with ECF writings that much. Personally, that only thing I can affirm from the writing is on the truth of deification, which is, lost among the Western Christianity. The reformation's (Luther) radical departure from tradition as source of authority in the church cast a dark shadow over the majority of the previous writings on the church and brought them over intense suspicion. But, it is not his intent (or ours) to "throw the baby out with the bath water".

The power of singing

Good Morning Fellow in Christ,

Just want to share something that will help you in your journey with God.

Today I'm taking lesson from the Book of Isaiah.

Isaiah 54 (NIV)
Sing, O barren woman,
you who never bore a child
burst into song, shout for joy
you who were never in labor
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband

This barren woman represent any kind of barrenness in your life.

It is not about infertile woman.

It is a picture of lack.

So what do you do when you're down with lack and unproductivity?

God says Sing. smile.gif

Singing songs of praise and worship and shouting for joy will put forth your Faith in motion to God's favor.

Singing and shouting for joy will cause your day to change for the better because it is part of spiritual warfare.

God moves when Faith abounds. God has designed singing as instrumental to your soul's joy and uplifting.

It is only when you're uplifted, your faith will see beyond the problems that seems insurmountable.

Because you will see that singing can even help you to know that God is with you.

If you continue to see the following verse in Isaiah 54

It says

in verse 4
Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.

in verse 5
For your Maker is your husband—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer
he is called the God of all the earth.

in verse 10
Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

in verse 17
no weapon forged against you will prevail,

All these starts with you singing. smile.gif

Hope this will bless your day.

God Bless.

You may share your own testimony too. smile.gif

yup, don't worry about how weird it can sound.

For Christians, God's way is always different.
