Hi, the pc shop i texted quoted this power supply for me.FSP 650W HYDRO GD 80+ GOLD
is it worth the price? is fsp a good psu brand?
*
What's your PC build and how much are you willing to spend on a PSU? hmm.gif

It's alright, but it's based on an entry level design so I won't recommend powering a high end rig with it icon_idea.gif

Ryzen 7 3700 x + gigabyte rtx2060
off topic a bit but I heard that since the rtx 3 series are coming out, I should wait for the price drop to get 2060?
*
Can I have the full part list? hmm.gif

It should be fine, but I'll probably will recommend something like the XPG Core Reactor if you can spend a bit more hmm.gif

TOTAL RM4942

this is the full quotation, some prices are a bit off so I'll talk to them about it but yeah.
Off topic as well but is klevv ram durable and good? Should i change it to hyperx? Might swap out hdd to upgrade ssd to 1tb
also if you can recommend any other pc shop based in kl , I'm open for reccomendations
*
Your usage? Looks good, although I'd swap the GPU to a MSI Ventus RTX2060 Super (about the same price) over this one icon_idea.gif

Klevv is essentially the consumer brand of SK Hynix (one of the largest DRAM manufacturers in the world), and their DRAM chips are often found in many name brand RAM sticks icon_idea.gif

The board is overpriced though and has poor VRMs - look for the B450 Tomahawk MAX or even a decent B550 like:
1. B550M Pro4
2. B550M Steel Legend
3. B550A-Pro
4. B550 Gaming Plus
5. Tuf B550M-Plus Gaming

The PSU should be good enough for this build icon_idea.gif

Also, if you are only gaming, drop the CPU down to a 3600 and put the remaining funds towards a better GPU icon_idea.gif

I do photo editing as well and I've never had a "sort of" high end cpu before so i feel like getting it. So you have any pc shops to reccomend? Also gje gigabyte rtx2060 is rm1299right now
Also should I get a motherboard with wifi built in or do I get a wifi adapter?
*
Look for DotaTech at Lazada (I think your recommendations come from Dotatech hmm.gif )

Go for a WiFi adapter if you can (preferably a PCIe one, or a M.2 card) icon_idea.gif

The one in the Aorus Pro WiFi isn't that good to say the least icon_idea.gif

You can pick up a MSI 2060 Super for not much more, and it's a faster card overall:

hi,

im looking for full modular psu for my itx system, between this two any pro n cons?

1. ST65F-GS (3years warranty?)
https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?...rea=en#fgo-down

2. FSP HYDRO GD 650W (5years warranty?)
https://www.fsplifestyle.com/PROP182003135/
*
If you are going for a mini ITX system, I'd probably recommend a SFX PSU (usually they come with an ATX adapter) as it is smaller and the cable lengths are much more suited for SFF builds icon_idea.gif

Something like this should do:

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/fsp-sfx-...554bxQ0938&mp=1

Modular units (especially fully modular ones) are not cheap to begin with sweat.gif

If you are willing to spend a bit more then there's always the XPG Core Reactor 650W/NZXT C650 icon_idea.gif

My specs
Intel 6100
8GB x2 2666
120GB SSD
250GB SSD
RX580 4GB
H110MK Mobo

What's PSU i should get below RM200. I use online PSU calculator and it consumed not more than 450watt. I plan to use 500watt. Is DK 5.0 500 Bronze ok?Or CV450?
How about getting 80+ White? Not planning to upgrade in th future.
*
The Corsair one should do (don't think I'd go for the 1stPlayer unit) - alternatives like the Hyper K 500W should do the trick fine too icon_idea.gif

Hi, i went to another pc shop and they quoted me a pretty nice rig but a corsair cv650 650w bronze psu.
I'm not good at PSUs so i don't know what to say but this psu seems quite cheap to be true. Same specs 16gb ram, ryzen 7 3700x ,rtx2060 super
*
Wouldn't bother with that one - low end design, meant for entry level gaming machines icon_idea.gif

Guys, im using fractal design node 202 with their Integra SFX 450W PSU, my spec as below:
ryzen 5 3600
MSI B450 gaming ac mobo
1 x m.2
1 x SSD
2 x 8g ddr4 ram
1050ti GC
Im planning to upgrade my graphic card to RTX 2060 super, went thru a few PSU calculator, it seems like 450w is adequate. What you guys think?
*
Yup, your PSU should handle that just fine icon_idea.gif

no, not really extra headroom for the system is always better.
plus the price diff is not too huge, also the Hydro K is 80+ bronze which has better power efficiency too.
*
Another possible option:

Cooler Master MWE White/Bronze v2 (note the v2 as this is important; the v2 is a much improved version which is made by a different OEM and uses a more modern design) icon_idea.gif

Cooler master depends on the OEM partner of that particular model, some really not bad. I bought CM V1200 Plat for Rm500.
*
Apparently there's two variants of the MWE (a full range one and a 230V one)? sweat.gif

Seems like the 230V variant (which is sold here) isn't exactly a good one:

Wow, how did you find out there’re diff variant across region. swt, then how do we even confirm if the review unit is the same as the one we’re buying locally.
*
Through the Cooler Master website:

https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/power-...0White%20Series

Actually the review only targets the 500/600/700W MWE v2, which is made by a different company, but the MWE v2 550/650/750 ones are fine:

A quality 500W is more than enough for your build, so look for this as a starter:

Guys, will my current PSU be sufficient if I were to upgrade to these? It's a Rosewill Hive 650W 80 bronze.

Ryzen 5 5600X
MSI  B500M Mortar
2x8GB RAM
RTX 3070
SSD x2
HDD 7200 x1

That's a very old PSU (and based on a very old platform), and I think it might be better to get something in the line of the NZXT C650/Enermax Revolution D.F./XPG Core Reactor icon_idea.gif

Guys,

Need your valuable inputs here

My SilverStone ST50F-ES230 kong yesterday after almost 5 years plus usage. Its not totally kong, but there is some weird noise and  i cannot power on the system. When i press the power button it powered down instantly in 2 seconds.

So looking forward to get cosair VS550, but need some clarifications here.

my system is not a gaming pc.
basic system with following spec:

Pentium Gold 5400
ASUS Prime H310I-Plus CSM
8 gbDDR 4 ram
NO GPU, im using the one built in with motherboard.
I have a usb 3.0 hub plugged in
usb speaker.
wireless keyboard and mouse

So my doublt here is, am i really need this cosair vs550 or can i consider something cheaper.

I used to use cap ayam psu long before, but so much problem with usb devices plugged in. until my friend told me to get a decent psu which is the ST50F-ES230.

Please advise.
*
Even if you have a low powered build, a good PSU is necessary unless you want your PSU to take out your hardware in the event of a PSU failure sweat.gif

Go for something in the line of a MWE White v2 or the Bronze v2 (note the v2; as this is a very different unit over the original v1 model) icon_idea.gif
