this case looks gooding also

now u poison me ady  tongue.gif

btw, which psu the best?
*
Depending on the case you might want to look at SFX PSUs, but not cheap though. sweat.gif

Corsair SF450 - RM365 (You will need a SFX to ATX adapter, which Corsair sells for RM26 here if the case accepts ATX PSUs). icon_idea.gif

no money for branded one...the price different quite alot..huhu..but anyway...im curious at the labeling..if we want to select psu, the one mention +12v watt is the correct ways is it?..found many 550w. but the combine +12v only 432w.. blink.gif
*
Might as just well save up and get a proper one. icon_idea.gif

A Seasonic S12II 620W costs around RM300, and this is made by one of the best PSU manufacturers around. Comes with full Japanese capacitors as well. icon_idea.gif

is superflower leadex gold 650W good enough?or should i go for 750W?

thanks.
*
More than enough. The Superflower Leadex Gold is a very good unit. icon_idea.gif

The review is for the 750W variant, but it should apply for the 650W unit. icon_idea.gif

planning to grab those psu, as it is really cheap.

Pretty much cap ayam unit - I'll avoid this at all costs. icon_idea.gif

Grab a proper unit from Seasonic/reputable brands and it will not take out your precious hardware. icon_idea.gif

It's cheap - but as the old saying goes: every cent counts. icon_idea.gif

Quality PSUs come at a price but it is well worth the money. Buy a good one and it can last you for a long time. icon_idea.gif

Anyone has experience with RMA-ing a Corsair PSU?
Do you need to return the original power cable? The problem is I don't know which power cable in my house is the one that comes bundled with the PSU.  icon_question.gif
*
Which power cable? The modular cables or the three pinned fat cables (which can be used on a monitor or rice cooker) hmm.gif

Can confirm - even RMA-ing a Seasonic PSU here takes nearly 4 months sweat.gif

Have to send to Taiwan sweat.gif

Hi sifus, I built a gaming pc few weeks ago and got a vs550 psu. It makes squeaking noise for a while when booting up and sometimes squeaks when performing certain tasks (or randomly). May I know if this is normal?
*
What kind of noise? Mind taking a video about this problem?

Perhaps this is something like coil whine or a fan noise issue hmm.gif

Super Flower is pretty much one of the best - if not the best PSU makers around. icon_idea.gif

EVGA even rebrands some of Super Flower units as their own icon_idea.gif

I wanted to ask

Are my power supply readings bad?

My PC crashes;
Blue Screen of Death
Gaming Crash
Windows Crash
PC hang out of no where (frozen)
Errors during stress test

Hardware monitor  ITE IT87
Voltage 0  1.17 Volts [0x49] (CPU VCORE)
Voltage 1  3.20 Volts [0xC8] (+3.3V)
Voltage 3  4.76 Volts [0xB1] (+5V)
Voltage 4  11.39 Volts [0xB2] (+12V)
Voltage 7  4.65 Volts [0xAD] (+5V VCCH)
Temperature 0  67 degC (152 degF) [0x43] (CPU)
Temperature 1  48 degC (118 degF) [0x30] (Mainboard)

Is my 12v voltage bad? Its 11.33~11.49v

Using a Corsair CS750M, which has more than enough power to power my 300w system
*
Generally the results from the software monitor should be taken as a grain of salt - if you really need to test their voltages you will need a multimeter for that icon_idea.gif

We received a lot of RMA until my boss decided to stop selling it sad.gif

Well my Seasonic ended up RMA-ing twice... Hopefully this is the last RMA for this unit laugh.gif

Thank goodness for 5 years warranty icon_idea.gif

Even worst still each RMA takes around 3-4 months to complete because distributor issue sweat.gif

Oddly enough I have two Seasonic units (S12II 620W and M12II 520W) that still worked fine hmm.gif

Does anyone know what happened to high capacity power supplies? Kena makan by miners too??

Having a hard time to find hx/hxi 1000 or 1200 PSU

Super flower was my first choice but they have an awfully low number of sata power cables and i dont trust molex adapters.

Even evga supernova p2 seems like it has dissapeared from MY?

Need at least 12 sata connectors for my threadripper nas build sad.gif
*
Perhaps, considering the shortage of GPUs sweat.gif

Anyway - consider a high quality molex connector instead - usually most molex to SATA connectors tend to caught on fire due to poor quality:

Alternatives: EVGA Supernova G2/G3 (or look for the Super Flower equivalent - Leadex Gold or the second revision, Leadex Gold II) icon_idea.gif

anybody had experience using 1stplayer dk 6.0 600w psu? Is it okay to oc my pc using this psu? I'm using R5 1600 with stock cooler (probably oc to 3.7 or 3.8), 16gb ram 3000mhz, gtx 1060 6gb.

The OEM appears to be from Helly Technology (which is pretty much unknown to begin with), so I wouldn't want to mess around with overclocking with that PSU icon_idea.gif

Seasonic S12ii is known for using full Japanese caps. It can last longer. Super Flower is 80+ Silver certified and fully modular though.
*
Full Japanese caps doesn't always mean better longevity. The problem is the Seasonic S12II is based on an older platform, i.e. group regulated and double-forward design. This makes it unsuitable for modern machines icon_idea.gif

https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/858096...or-later-years/

It's also worth noting that Super Flower is the OEM behind some of the best PSUs in the market icon_idea.gif

I'm running i7-6700T and Gigabyte Z170 Ultra Gaming with 1 graphic card. No issue for Seasonic M12 II(same parts as S12 II) 520W.

2 years past the warranty. Still kicking. Japanese caps helps the PSU last longer.

Super Flower Platform has Japanese caps too. Only the modular board isn't.
*
Modular board has very low load and the caps are polymer so it's not that much of a concern icon_idea.gif

Super Flower is a tier 1 PSU maker (at the same level with Seasonic), and I highly doubt they will use some very low grade components on the modular PCB icon_idea.gif

Also modular cables are great for keeping your case internals as tidy as possible, especially in smaller cases icon_idea.gif

Yes, they did put low grade caps. Its Crapxon!

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=...Story5&reid=370
*
I wouldn't worried that much - the capacitor is dealing with very little load and power icon_idea.gif

Unfortunately the problem with the Leadex Gold is not about the capacitor though, but it has something to do with the hold up time with the unit. The EVGA equivalent, the Supernova G2 is essentially a lightly-modified variant of the Leadex, does not have the hold up time issue icon_idea.gif

However, it's not something you should really worried about, and I highly doubt it will mess your hardware up icon_idea.gif

Not to mention warranty too - I'm currently on my 3rd unit (G-550), as the previous 2 units have failed and each RMA took me about 4-5 months due to the fact that there are no official distributors that handles my RMA at that time sweat.gif

I intend to keep the power supply unit. Just looking to replace to power cable from PSU to electrical socket. Worried that there are some specs that I need to take note of. The power supply is working, but I can't bear to always needing a universal adapter to plug into the socket  wink.gif
*
It has worldwide power input i.e. 100-240V as TristanX said, so all you need is either an universal adapter, or buy a power supply cable here (note that the power cables used by PC power supplies are IEC C13/C14 cables) icon_idea.gif

Just a heads up:

For those who want to read actual PSU reviews (like those reviews TechPowerup made), the well-known Chinese reviewer Expreview has started his own site:
http://www.fcpowerup.com

itocp.com is also a good one too, and these two websites often review PSUs that are not sold in western markets (usually such units are sold here as well) icon_idea.gif

This website is a good one for PSU platforms too icon_idea.gif
