QUOTE(kadajawi @ Feb 15 2013, 11:35 AM) The 3rd gen Yaris is a relatively safe car too, IIRC. What I meant is the basic shape. For example look at the Kangoo II, the Kangoo II Phase 2 (facelift coming soon) and the Mercedes Citan. They can only change certain parts from the basic vehicle, but between A and C pillar it is the same car. Maybe doors can be changed, but the basic shape remains the same. Or the Peugeot 206 vs the 206+ and Malaysian 207, and the Chinese Citroen C3. You can see that they are the same car. Also one of the earlier Fiestas where they introduced that oval design. That might be the most striking example, because it really didn't work. Body panels can be changed, but things like the A pillar can't, perhaps to a very small degree by layering on top of the actual structure, but there it ends. If those parts are more 2nd gen Yaris than 3rd gen Yaris... yup i agree wif u. the alleged pics of vios2013 available on the net aren't clear also http://www.carnewschina.com/2013/02/04/spy...sting-in-china/This post has been edited by farghmee: Feb 15 2013, 12:40 PM

In China, they would re-use phased out model in joint venture to re-introduce as new cheaper model. So don't even say that is the new Vios. The new Vios 2013 chassis can be seen clearly as totally new body.

Let's not jump to conclusion blindly. THey will reveal the new Vios soon, just wait a little longer and then confirm. China car websites, some are copy car while some are old model remake. The 4 speed auto GB can take quite some whacking. It is proven unless they go down the CVT road but in Msia they won't know how to price it then.

But I hope the features for new vios remind the same sale on Malaysia market, especially for the "start & off"" button and keyless... Quite amazing which can be apply on C segment car

Can always install it accs shop, just hope they don't remove safety features like abs, edb, 2 air bags, which can't be retrofit. Overall I see this is going to be another star for umw. Waiting period may stretch to a year ...lol...

It's not the cheapest econobox, but it will probably still be snapped up quickly because of the Toyota badge. The momentum from the current gen Vios will easily be carried over to the "next" generation as well in this case.

All you Vios fans out there, here's a cake for you today.. It's open for booking! And here's an estimated price guide borrowed from paultan.org Looks like there's not going to be much of a price change....at the very least is very minimal, hopefully for some of you. A lot of people would be happy for this....I know quite a few. The fact that it is a Toyota and since most would be influenced by the brands reliability and affordability, this would see plenty people getting excited. Check out the full story for the details : http://paultan.org/2013/08/16/2013-toyota-...laysia-booking/
