QUOTE(Ash96 @ Feb 25 2013, 04:38 PM) should i stop my biology tuition ? i dont like it plus it's quite far in form 4 without tuition i can get good marks it's all depended on what you gain from the tuition. if it is not worth it, better just study by yourself.

QUOTE(D-Frog @ Feb 26 2013, 04:28 PM) Well, happy birthday How's your language subject doing in grades ? Thank you . Do you mean results of the previous tests and exams , because our first 2013 test is in March . If that's the case , they are okay . I've got A+s for all of my English tests and exams , but my BM may need more work , since I've only got one A+ ( mid term ) , one A ( first test ) and an A- ( I did horribly for my final exam , BM , and I was worried ) . I'm not satisfied with both of the subjects to be honest -- English because I still haven't grasped the format in and out , and I'm having hiccups during summaries and directed writing ( summary because I couldn't identify most of the required points, directed writing because I sometimes forget to limit the length of my essay ) . For BM , I've a great teacher , and with the extra classes and Guru Muda sessions conducted , I'm getting there . I just need some patience , that's all . How about you , for other subjects as well ?

QUOTE(work_tgr @ Feb 27 2013, 01:48 PM) actually students no need teachers. as long as they have books, they could study the books and score straight A+ in SPM. Simple But if there's a good teacher , the process will be much smoother and pleasant . Some students require teachers to teach concepts they cannot comprehend , like Physics , Maths . Especially Maths , you cannot just read the book and score . There are also things to consider like answering techniques , experiments conducted in lab , etc .

People who care less about their studies are happy go lucky all the way , regardless of exams . So , what's your aim ?

QUOTE(LawrenceLoL @ Feb 28 2013, 08:12 PM) How long do you study per day? This is subjective . Sometimes I only spend an hour , if I'm really tired and not in the mood due to extra classes conducted by school . When I'm really in the mood , very motivated , get enough rest , and thinks that in two weeks time there will be an important test / exam coming up , I will spend close to 8 - 10 hours per day . That's my brute force method for subjects like Biology , Sejarah , and sometimes Ekonomi Asas . I then refresh by re-reading what I've studied to make sure I'm able to retain the facts in my brain . For science subjects like Chemistry , Physics , and Maths / Add Maths , I spend about 3 - 4 hours max per day by learning new material or doing exercises ( mostly past year questions from 1993-2004 ) . I'm going to spend more time studying since this is the final public exam for me .

Wow Maxim, how you find up to 10 hours each day to study? My schedule doesn't allow it Usually I spend around 2-3 hours only, 1 hour study 1 hour practice another hour to revise/refresh.

I usually pay less attention in class and I practice self-studying since Form 1- most of the time my grades are above average.
