[quote=ken_zie,Apr 18 2007, 01:56 PM] ya, i think i got read about that as well in the star not long ago... but that will only start next year... and from next year onwards, amout of the loans given will be based on the course taken, total credit hour and the institute's lacation to prevent students from getting more money than they needed. wondering if this is a good idea or not? Alrite...thanks ya so where can my parents save their money?I mean which party to ask?Can go any bank and ask straight away?

You can only be holding either one scholarship or loan. You will be sued by both parties with legal law, both the scholarship's organization and PTPTN. This statement is stated in the agreement clearly.

QUOTE(cks2k2 @ Apr 9 2007, 12:56 AM) Cannot be. Those who took engineering course max payback is RM300+ for 20 years from what I know. 300 + is barely enough to pay back the principal+interest... i loaned rm 40.5k, and if i pay back in 14 years time, I have to pay a whopping rm 52k. QUOTE(doinkz_gaara @ Apr 17 2007, 01:35 PM) I was just wondering, Exactly how is the payment back, the formula they put at the website is confusing me. 3% every year, and another 3% the next year? In total 6% in two years? the formula contains several mistake and typo...i entered the formula into an excel sheet and it doesnt tally..lol This post has been edited by Dagashi: May 4 2007, 01:02 PM

The one that they used for the loan calculator is Interest per month = loan amount x 0.03/12 Note: For engineering stream, there's a RM500 interest free loan per year. Based from what I know from my friends, the interest are only based on your principle amount, so no interest on interest.

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jun 9 2007, 12:00 PM) means if i get a scholarship after loaning from PTPTN how? if the scholarship if from a foundation would i get sued? No i dont think u will get sued. In that scenario PTPTN will just take back the loan that they offer to you. It is not your fault to be given a scholarship in the first place.
