QUOTE(cae1982 @ Jun 11 2013, 05:24 AM)
if you're thinking about buying illegear please rethink again... I've bought the rs15 with fitted with msata crucial 240 gb 1 tb harddisk killer wireless netowrk card ati 7970. I received my laptop and after installing windows and the relevants drivers within 2 hours of usage i got a blue screen message... contacted the support department and they told me reinstall using the updated driver from amd website which i did.. and i still receive blue screen so i decided to send it back after secodn day of usage.. reply came back was no hardware faults were found and the blue screen message did not come out and they suggested that i didn't install the drivers correctly....... so here comes the question why was the driver from the cd bundled with the laptop causes blue screen??? not only that the cd doesn;t even have drivers for the killer wireless card... this is an issue for me as some hotels don't have internet connection via lan cable and only offer wireless..... as at that point in time when i installed my drivers i was in new delhi...... oh i was also given an invoice for rm 90 for which was a combination of shipping charges and fees to inspect the laptop...... when i decided to return the laptop because i had a blue screen after installing windows and the drivers....

Dear cae1982,

You must be Mr. Loong right? As per checking with the sales person and support staff, you reported BSOD with us and we immediately arrange next-day pickup from your location at Bukit Jalil on 5 June 2013.

At first we tested your hardware and found all hardware components are in perfect condition.

Secondly we re-installed Intel driver, did normal surfing, youtube etc like what you advised where the BSOD occurred, there is no BSOD found.
You must be able to trace your internet explorer's history to look how many pages we have surfed within 4 days.

Thirdly we do alt+tab, ac adapter plug in and out for hundred of times as per your statement where the BSOD occurred, but still no BSOD found.

We shipped the laptop back after receiving your agreement and sent you an invoice for charging the pick-up and two-way courier cost (RM90) which we think you should responsible for that.
That invoice was sent after we sent back your laptop and you can decide to pay or ignore if you think that bill is unreasonable.

Finally we appreciate you gave us the business and let me know if I could assist further.

Hi NecroPhilia,

Only on higher variant. To upgrade GPU to GTX 770M and GTX780M the system needs to have MXM connector, and it's very expensive.

Systems like lenovo y500, y580, asus g55vw, ge60 and ge70 series equipped soldered GPUs hence the prices are more affordable, same goes to RE-15/RE-17.

P/S: Razer blade has soldered GPU GTX 765M too.

cry.gif It's changed so much in just few months when comparing the old RE-15 and new RE-15. Besides, the price nearly the same like before with power boost in the new specs. *heartbreak*

Anyway, Prince J I would like to ask you about a little upgrade on RE-15. Can the old RE-15 support the mSata SSD which I saw in your newly updated site there's an option for that tho. And the installation can be done on ourselves?

What do you think Prince J? Thank you and great job for the new launched RE series.

Don't think Illegear laptops are going to look as dull as they used to.

I don't think this is for the RE series. Would be nice if it was though.
