hmm.gif I'm using RE-15 for around 1.5 months and it served me well on what I needed it for. As for warranty wise, I'm taking a 2-year warranty from ILLEGEAR and considering to extend it though.

As with the cooling temp for RE-15, when I'm dealing with Far Cry 3 alone without others programme hiding behind, the temperature itself went up to around 70 degree celsius so I'm contented on that and the palm rest area won't be hot cause the CPU and GPU actually located abit above the keyboard somewhere near the speaker bar. And the fan itself will be noticeable when on high load. But it's not a big issue for me.

Thank you biggrin.gif

Colored back panel huh? Interesting... I wouldn't mind having a dark blue RE-17 myself. Nice move Illegear!

Prince J Put me up for an interested party for the 780M upgrade. I'm already eyeing the MSI GT70 Dragon Edition, perfect specs except for the fact that it's 17". Need 15" portability. Local MSI dealers dont carry a 15" GT60 with 780M in it for some reason.

Hi stringfellow,

GTX 780M is not supported in old RS-15....yet. If you need to use this card urgently I would suggest you to get a new machine. smile.gif

I hope that "yet" means that it will be supported. Coz your fellow competitor across the causeway already have the 15" laptop with option for 780M in them. Looks like same chassis too.

If I were to get any machine with 780M now, and that option is only available at 17" size and having to carry that all around everywhere I go to work, I'd rather go all out and deck it out with 780M SLI.

Hahaha rclxms.gif good question but as I said I'm contented to what the current RE-15 can offers me so I'm sticking back to it till in the near future the new technology comes into ILLEGEAR and consider from there...

That seems like a good idea. As of right now, Illegear's website is down. It seems like they're updating it.

if you're thinking about buying illegear please rethink again... I've bought the rs15 with fitted with msata crucial 240 gb 1 tb harddisk killer wireless netowrk card ati 7970. I received my laptop and after installing windows and the relevants drivers within 2 hours of usage i got a blue screen message... contacted the support department and they told me reinstall using the updated driver from amd website which i did.. and i still receive blue screen so i decided to send it back after secodn day of usage.. reply came back was no hardware faults were found and the blue screen message did not come out and they suggested that i didn't install the drivers correctly....... so here comes the question why was the driver from the cd bundled with the laptop causes blue screen??? not only that the cd doesn;t even have drivers for the killer wireless card... this is an issue for me as some hotels don't have internet connection via lan cable and only offer wireless..... as at that point in time when i installed my drivers i was in new delhi...... oh i was also given an invoice for rm 90 for which was a combination of shipping charges and fees to inspect the laptop...... when i decided to return the laptop because i had a blue screen after installing windows and the drivers....
