Just go to nearest sirim office qas dept submit your courier received info plus any printout to show phone specs n your ic pay rm100 n you will get it within an hour the sirim cert

So I would have to receive the phone first before I get to SIRIM? Or just a statement from hopshopgo? What do I do with the cert?

Many asked how to apply for SIRIM, here's what you need before you head over to their office (with examples)

-Air Waybill > from DHL



-Commercial Invoice (for custom declaration) > This is provided by Comgateway in my case



-Purchase Invoice from Google Play > In the package from Google



-Technical Specification (can print out from http://www.google.com/nexus/4/specs/)


First 3 documents are all provided by DHL. They called me before my pakage even arrived at HK and email me all these. You will have to print out the specification from the webpage. SIRIM accepts that.

Where to apply for SIRIM? Every SIRIM office should be able to do that. Just give them a call to confirm.

If i buy N4 from ebay seller and he ship it to hopshopgo without packing list/invoice since it is domestic shipping). Then when hopshopgo courier it to Malaysia with my other stuff, will the package be held up by customs/Sirim? Since no official invoice from google play that states it is a cell phone.

Depend on your luck whether package gets open by custom
Why worry ? only rm100 for Sirim n there is no tax/duty on mobile phones

Added on December 12, 2012, 4:43 pmYou will not get the phone only the docs showing phone has arrived . Use your courier notice plus invoice plus specs of phone ( just print from web) n submit together to Sirim. After you get the Sirim permit pass to courier company to clear it

Those who's order are due for shipping, can call google on the toll free line listed in your order to have them check for you.

My order is due for shipment by the evening of today as per the automated response and when I called up, google CSR told me its still in processing. She will escalate it to a shipping specialist to check on my order and opened another issue ticket for me.

Btw, calls from Skype to google toll free number is free
