QUOTE
Nexus 4 is Google's latest smartphone, developed together with LG. It has a quad-core processor which means it's super fast, a crisp 4.7" (320 ppi) display that's perfect for looking at photos and watching YouTube, and with wireless charging you just set the phone down on a charging surface to power it up, no wires needed. While Nexus 4 is incredibly powerful under the hood, it also features the latest version of Jelly Bean, Android 4.2—the simplest and smartest version of Android yet. Starting with the camera, we've reinvented the photo experience with Photo Sphere, which lets you capture images that are literally larger than life. Snap shots up, down and in every direction to create stunning 360-degree immersive experiences that you can share on Google+ with friends and family—or you can add your Photo Sphere to Google Maps for the world to see.

Android 4.2 brings other great goodies like Gesture Typing, which lets you glide your finger over the letters you want to type on the keyboard—it makes typing fast, fun and a whole lot simpler. Android 4.2 also adds support for wireless display so you can wirelessly watch movies, YouTube videos and play games right on your Miracast-compatible HDTV. [Google]

Wow, new thread already. Really quick.

It's december already, lets see if LG Malaysia can actually deliver their words this time.
*
I'm afraid not. If you read their recent comment on their Facebook page they start to not mentioning Christmas anymore

Many asked how to apply for SIRIM, here's what you need before you head over to their office (with examples)

-Air Waybill > from DHL

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

-Commercial Invoice (for custom declaration) > This is provided by Comgateway in my case

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

-Purchase Invoice from Google Play > In the package from Google

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

-Technical Specification (can print out from http://www.google.com/nexus/4/specs/)

First 3 documents are all provided by DHL. They called me before my pakage even arrived at HK and email me all these. You will have to print out the specification from the webpage. SIRIM accepts that.

Where to apply for SIRIM? Every SIRIM office should be able to do that. Just give them a call to confirm.

F*ck.....i group buy with other forumer, then i use his name and address.....

then google ask me for ID verification...coz it's my CC number, but different ppl name.....
*
Don't think it's an issue. You can always buy for others. Recipient can always be someone else. Google only wants to verify your credit card billing address, not shipping address.

Would there be an issue if I use a M'sia issued card with US billing address?
Oh how much would you sell it? drool.gif
*
That's what I did. Anyway, I'm using AMEX for that. Purchased 3 times from Google Play already.

Btw, I ordered another 2 units of Nexus 4 16GB for my friends on 27 Nov around 9.30am. They are shipped early this morning and UPS is now out for delivery already. Should be receiving email from Comgateway soon.

when u clicked proceed at the checkout section , did the page refresh or something? because after i clicked proceed , the page has no response , only the blue proceed button's spinning there , BUT i got the authorization and the confirmation email . Is it ok?
*
I don't remember anymore. Since you got the order confirmation email that should be fine. Wallet status should be pending. No need care about the status in the Google Play order & setting page. I've been on pre-ordered or pending status but I still get my devices on their promised shipping time.

Btw, my friends' Nexus 4 have arrived at Comgateway warehouse. Now waiting for the car mount from Amazon to arrive then can ship together.

GESHOL2012 - Get 5% off shipping charge if you are using AMEX (you should have this from Maybank in your e-mailbox)

My friend's package is declared as Laptop/PC instead. Talked to DHL this afternoon and they say nothing needed for that. No tax too. cool2.gif

Is LG referring to 2013 Christmas instead? tongue.gif
