Hi guys looking forward to joining this club tongue.gif

Some question here. Can help suggest to me any other better plan than Digi's Smart plan 48 with Note II Rm1799? maybe other packages from maxis or celcom. Minimal data usage around 1GB is sufficient.

Thanks

Just read back past 2 days posts about telco
My opinion buying cheaper but with a poorer coverage from digi is not worth it
DIGI average download speeds 600 to 1000 kbps versus 2000-8000 on Maxis or Celcom
You decide

Thanks for the replies guys. Well actually I'll be taking the phone but my mom will be the one using the line. She's pretty comfortable with digi (price & coverage at home). I'll be chipping in a bit on her phone calls as well as paying for the phone. In short, I'm just using her current number to get "cheaper" phone as mine is still under 2 years i88 plan (Which I still don't feel like surrendering due to the free calls n sms bit).

So since my mom will be using the plan im looking for something which does not come with much data quota coz she'll only be using it for calls n sms.

Thanks again for your suggestion guys smile.gif

Just curious, I have been on Celcom's Power 148 for the last 2-3 years and so far I've been paying RM150 a month which is a fixed commitment for this package. Using unlimited data and I travel overseas a lot seems practical to use this package.

Is there any other package that is similar or better than this package?

Which package? My celcom? I guess so, I never break pass RM150 often. Even my regular usage in Malaysia doesn't add up to RM150 but still the package's commitment is RM150 so like it or not has to pay..haha..just that I thought if can find other package that offer similar thing with lower commitment than I probably switch.

Umobile? I also travel a lot in country so best reception so far seems to be Celcom?

Getting from TELCO MAXIS, any free gifts we getting for bundle package ?

so if its 12/24 months contract.. we pay the phone price and also the upfront payment right.. not the whole amount for subscribe period am i right ?

example..

surfmore 75 - 12months - phone price 1649 - upfront 250 ?

so i pay 1649+250 ? or 75 X 12 + 1649 + 250 ?

not sure what is the upfront for surfmore 50/75...

but i see for another bundle in maxis stated like below..

Please be informed that effective 10 August 2012, advance payment for all smartphones (except iPhone) will be as follows.
This is applicable for postpaid customers who have been with us for less than 1 year. Amounted will be credited into your monthly payment bill over a 5-month period.
12-month data contract: RM 50 x 5 months = RM 250
18-month data contract: RM 100 x 5 months = RM 500
24-month data contract: For devices with RRP below RM 500: RM 100 x 5 months = RM 500
For devices with RRP above RM 500: RM 200 x 5 months = RM 1000

I would say best coverage in country is Maxis
In east coast even along kampung trunk roads is good
I travel extensively throughout the country from north to south n east to west for past 20 years until I retired 3 years ago
I have used Maxis, celcom n digi n u mobile. I am going to MNP u mobile to Maxis next month. U mobile excellent n very good only in certain areas in the big towns. In between towns it is the worst coverage. I got u mobile because mainly of the nice , very nice number offer to me. Agreed to test it for 3 months to support a friend inside.

Hi, can share where you get this from? I like it that it covers the upper and bottom sides too, as opposed to nilkin.
