I'm looking for some information about CIMB Wealth Advisor

I'm interested in the Unit Trust which starts with a minimum of RM1,000.00

I understand that you can top up the fund in denominations of RM200.

I would like to know if the RM200 is obligatory, meaning if I start with RM1,000
can I top up RM200 as and when I have the excess funds or do I have to top up RM200 every month?

Why look for CWA, you can do UT yourself online and save cost. Most 'wealth advisors' are glorified salesman.

May I say, I can expect better things from my Eastspring Investments funds, and Kenanga funds are going downhill from now? brows.gif

Because u see the historical charts, this Chen guy really got some impact to the performance of its funds. Prior to his joining, Kenanga Growth at best only managed to track KLCI.

Maybe yes or no. Interesting to look at both fund house performance... Like what happen to Apple without SJ.

But I think it will not be a immediate impact, both fund houses should stick to their current strategics for a while and then transform slowly.
Like Apple, their sales still high although the product is not innovative enough.

Pink, thanks for your reply in the FSM thread! Would appreciate some advice from anyone here on my portfolio.

Currently I have:

Hwang Select Income Fund
OSK-UOB Asian Income Fund
Templeton Global Total Return Fund (Global Bond)

Am thinking of adding in Hwang Asia Quantum Fund, Pacific Global Stars, and

either AmAsia Pacific REITs OR AmGlobal Property Equities Fund (which one is better?)

Btw I already have local bond funds in PM.

Would appreciate advice on the funds I have picked or any other recommendation on other funds smile.gif

Thanks soo much!

Look nice, but I prefer the old format, more clean and easy to find things.

hi all,

when selecting the lowest cost for fund, and you are using dollar cost averaging, would you choose a fund with higher front load fees but lower total expense ratio or lower front load fees but higher total expense ratio?

In Malaysia, major of the fund's front load fee is fix, unless u go thru some offer over internet or FSM. So, u just need to look for total expense ratio. For me, the expense ratio is not a major concern, I will look at the fund perfomance itself, unless the total expense is very very high.

In Malaysia we really don't have much choice, charges of funds are pretty much standard.
