QUOTE(MUM @ Oct 12 2022, 06:33 PM) Those that had experience will do it ownself DIY. I see. For if not mistaken ...if do it thru agent will cost more I had one principal agent tried to pull me into their UT. The only setback for me was the fee (8%) For total newbie, better to go for low risk investments? |

The only setback for me was the fee (8%) For total newbie, better to go for low risk investments? I thought max is only 5-5.5% sales charge only? Can try DIY platform from https://www.fsmone.com.my/ Charged only about less than 2%sc for equity funds. Contact their client investment specialist to determine what is your "low risk" investment really mean. |

Just sharing & adding to the knowledge of lazy & statistical investing into broad based funds (ETFs used for easy data update and your own testing by downloading from Yahoo Finance) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17L9...dit?usp=sharing Summary: If we consistently invest, even the same amount yearly, into a broad based fund, EVEN IF CURSED LUCK buying at the highest cost every single year, in the long term (20+ years data used), we still make profits even ending on a badly down year of 2022. Thus the key is ability to HODL (ie. have good cash flow planning), consistency & long-term outlook (ie. NOT quarterly). Imagine how much better if we bought at median or even sometimes, lows, especially when there's FEAR? Does anyone have any experience or opinion on KR Group? I have the 'opportunity' to invest in their Islamic Redeemable Preference Shares with a minimum investment of US$ 25k. Targeted Returns 18%. Seems a bit risky to me but does anyone have any experience of them please?

Any comment on the OCBC campaign offering to top up MMF returns invested via OCBC by an additional 3% p.a. for 6 months?

Hi newbie here, not sure where to post, seeking opinions.
Agent switch out my funds to below funds without my knowledge with forged records: Eastspring Investments Dana Al-ilham AmGlobal Agribusiness Fund European Equity Alpha RHB Gold And General Fund Manulife Shariah India Equity Fund - A (RM) Class No clear profit/loss yet, some transactions still under clearing process. My question: (1) What can I do? (2) In the event that damage is already done, are these 5 funds considered 'ok' ? I am still fairly unclear whether there are more untold misconduct done by this agent such as cash out my funds to his personal account etc, is it possible? Gonna call the platform next week for help. |

Did they charge you for each moving/switching of funds? Some "agent" made additional commission from these sales charges or switching charges. They charge by EACH fund, each time. |
