Manulife launches preferred securities income fund

user posted image

KUALA LUMPUR: Manulife Investment Management (M) Bhd has launched the Manulife Preferred Securities Income Fund, an alternative investment solution that provides equity-like capital growth features and bond-like income streams.

The globally-oriented fund invests in preferred securities issued by companies that are defensive in nature, such as banks, utilities, and real estate investment trusts (REITs), which are usually large and highly regulated organisations with stable cash flows, Manulife said in a statement on Monday.

Maximise your retirement savings digitally

The importance of retirement savings cannot be understated. It not only provides you with funds that can be utilised in the future but also secures your financial security when you reach your golden years.

A viable nest egg or retirement fund often consists of personal savings, investments or fixed assets as well as the all-essential savings in the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). Combined, these funds give you sufficient capital to support yourself financially when you are retired and no longer working.

As such, proper financial planning is crucial in ensuring a solid financial position in the future. Essential to this is having a proper investment plan to further grow and build on your retirement savings. One of the easiest and most seamless ways to do this is via the EPF i-Invest platform.
