Hi David83,
Thanks for the info.
The reason why I am asking is this:
Say if I decide to put in 10000 into a unit trust.
This unit trust has x% of annual return.
Then I decided to sell off everything after a year.
But the total earning after 1 year is, say, <18000 (just for the sake of argument)
Taking the statement "minimum of RM 18,000 per annum" literally, it would mean I will owe the Trustee money instead of earning any after a year.
This is probably just a newbie worry, like me. Just don't want to get caught in legal battle afterwards. Thought I do a thorough research and make sure I understand what exactly is involved with regards to fees and charges.
ps: yep, with regards to sales charge, I am still shopping/looking around. FSM has the lowest. Most are at 3-5%. Not to say this is least of my worry, but I think if I aim for very high risk + short term, with low investment capital to start with (especially pocket money that has been sitting around doing nothing much), upfront charges can easily be swallowed by this kind of strategy?

You have to refer to fund annual financial report to know the exact number of all these fees and MER.

We are doing HK PCT trust funds, regulated by the ORS in HK.
Returns are fixed at 2% per month.

QUOTE(T231H @ Jun 22 2015, 04:27 PM) M'sian Bank FD > 3% pa.... Alamak kawan. Koyak. My mistake.. I've already changed it. Its 2% to 4% per month.. Depending on the investment amount. Highest bracket is 4% per month fixed return. Thanks for pointing out. Since apologies

Can someone point me to the reference I seem to remember about a Malaysian "all seasons survival portfolio" similar to USA Paul Merriman's 10 asset classes?
Or, how should such a portfolio be adjusted for the local scene?
