Have you put mobo spacer? Use direct plug, not extension?

Before you install mobo, there should mobo spacer installed to case before mobo.

Low quality extension powersocket also sometime produce shock.

Lastly, bad house grounding problem, need qualified electrical man to do it.

Yeah, you could do that if Asrock B75M-DGS mainboard RM189 available. Else MSI B75M-P45 RM 229. You already have monitor right?

Got. But right now I'm considering every option. Even laptops. Cause the pain of this is so much. tongue.gif

Your processor probably won't be fast enough to cope with triple-screen gaming, i.e nVidia's surround vision and AMD's Eyeinfinity. You'll want to upgrade your processor, but since LGA775 processors are very hard to find, you're better off buying the latest processors instead ( LGA1155 / LGA2011 ). However, that will warrant for a RAM and motherboard change.

If you need more processing power, then yes. Otherwise, no.

Hi, need some input from you guys..

Processor: Intel Xeon E3 RM699
Cooler: (Stock cooler good enough?)
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-M RM339
Graphic Card: (Occasionally gaming, mostly movie)
Hard Disk: Intel 520 Series RM399
RAM: Kingston 8GB Value RM119
Casing: Corsair 300r - RM299 (Good?)
PSU: FSP Hexa 500W - RM149 (Good?Stable?TrueP?)
Optical Drive: LiteOn DVD Writer RM60

If possible the budget will be 2k.. Possible to get the required spec?

Chosen Xeon E3 as I prefer multitasking, however some features seem not compatible with the Asus board, so which should I change?

How about you help me decide the processor(quad core at least) and mobo future proof if possible..

Regarding the SSD, any difference with 330 series and 520 series?
Don't need extra hard disk as I've it.

As for graphic card, I doesn't need high end as mostly I just watch movie and only occasionally playing some games..
Probably budget for this around 300-400 would do..

If you've better casing that could suggest please let me know..

As for the power supply, will it be good enough? or should I upgrade it to SilverStone?

Processor: ?
Motherboard: ?
Graphic Card: ?
Hard Disk: Intel 320 Series/520 Series RM319/RM399
RAM: Kingston 8GB Value RM119
Casing: Corsair 300r - RM299
PSU: FSP Hexa 500W - RM149
Optical Drive: LiteOn DVD Writer RM60

mobo future proof is by what definition? because when new processor come out also will need get new mobo coz none of the current mobo will be able to support next generation proc unless they have same socket.

Intel i3 3220 RM363
Asrock H77 Pro4/MVP RM289
Itenl 330 120GB RM319
Gskill 2x4GB DDR3 1600mhz RM138
Xigmatek Asgard Pro - RM150
NAXN 550W PSU - RM215
Sapphire HD Radeon 7850 RM599

=RM2073

If Intel 330 60GB is RM219
RM2073-100 = RM1973

If you want are interested in overclocking than change to Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
RM2073+169 = RM2242
(If you want OC than need better PSU but I think for now no need)

This H77 mobo can support up to current latest processor if not really interested to overclock your CPU can upgrade to newest proc currently. Xeon also can support.

If want quad core CPU than get i5-3470
RM2073+212= RM2285

Optical Driver +RM60 Lite On DVD-RW

how about
Intel Core i5 3470 RM564 <--quad core as you wanted
MSI B75MA P45 RM229 <-- decent mid-range motherboard with decent features
Kingston Value RAM 1x4GB RM54 or 1x8GB RM114
Sapphire HD7770 RM399 <--- a weak but not so weak GPU
<no HDD required as reusing old HDD>
Intel 330 SSD 120GB RM299 <-- the 520 have longer warranty and maybe faster transfer speed, but honestly even the standard SSD speed is fast enough
FSP Hexa 500W RM149 <-- low end but good quality PSU
CM K280 RM128 <-- cheap casing with good build quality and cable management features
Lite-On 22x DVD Drive RM59
Total: RM1941

optional upgrades: Sapphire HD7850 RM649 (better gaming performance), Enermax NAXN 550W RM215 (PSU), Intel Core i5 3570 RM614, Corsair Carbide 300R RM299

for gaming wise, what resolution are you gonna play and what type of games? cause the HD7770 will struggle on graphical intensive games

as for the cooler part, stock is fine enough. but if you feel like splurging, CM Hyper TX3 Evo at RM79 or CM Hyper 212 Evo RM120++ gives you good performance to money value

How was this setup?
The 330 and 520 series warranty how long is the differences?
Motherboard Asrock brand good? Been using Asus motherboard for long time..

The below part I'll decide by own basing on my budget.

Graphic Card: Sapphire HD7770 RM399 / Sapphire HD7850 RM649
Casing: Corsair 300r - RM299 / Xigmatek Asgard Pro - RM150
Optical Drive: LiteOn DVD Writer RM60
