If you want the system to be wifi capable, get a wifi USB dongle for about RM30 or less.

Is that item that can make us connect to wireless?because i wan my rig can connect to internet like laptop.where can iget it and how much?
*
Most IT retail stores should sell it. It ranges from RM15 to over RM30 depending on what you buy. There are two types, where one is PCI based and another is USB based.

Hi all sifus and experts, I'm planning a build with a budget of 3.3k and this is what I came up with

PROCESSOR: INTEL I5 3570 (3.2GHz) = RM 619
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS P8Z77-M = RM 339
GRAPHICS CARD: LEADTEK GTX 670 2GB = RM 1149
RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE PC1600 C9 CMZ = RM 189
HARD DISK: SEAGATE 1TB 7200RPM = RM 219
PSU: CORSAIR TX SERIES 650W = RM 379
CASING: COOLER MASTER K380 = RM 129
DVD ROM: LITEON DVD WRITER = RM 60

TOTAL ESTIMATED COST = RM 3083 (if didn't count wrong haha)

Any modifications I should do? Thanks
*
You don't need those RAM modules, so stick to the usual Value RAMs. That will save you about RM80 or so. With the remaining RM300 you should be able to add in a solid state drive like the Intel 330 Series 120GB SSD, which is a SSD with an excellent value and a performance good enough to satisfy most.

Hmm icic... At what circumstances only need this type of RAM if I may ask?
*
They are usually bought by those who want to overclock, or by those who think that they present a large performance advantage over Value RAMs out of the box. Some may know that they pretty much give little noticeable performance improvement over Value RAMs and also do not want to overclock, but want the improvement in aesthetics that those RAMs can give due to the usage of fancy heat-spreaders. smile.gif

Heya again guys !

A8-5600k. Maximum resolution for gaming on LCD monitor would be ? Im thinking the iGPU inside d APU would be the limiting factor on the monitor ? Sourcing 2nd hand used LCD monitors on Ebay atm. Looking at 17 - 19 inch monitors..... Any advice on this ? Or should I go for a 21 inch ? haha.
*
Looking at benchmarking results I'd say that the maximum resolution for a relatively smooth gaming experience will be 1400x900 and below. If you have high speed RAM modules as well, i.e over 1600MHz, then it would be even better.

somebody told me if use cm hyper 212 evo cooler on p8z77 itx board, the board need mod? black plate there, is it true, im scare will void warranty on my board
*
Mod? Modding a board? hmm.gif.

A Hyper 212 Evo has a backplate that you need to put behind the motherboard to support the heat-sink. There's no modding required as far as I'm concerned. It's just a matter of putting the screws on the board, securing it with the backplate and finally putting the heat-sink on.

yea modding, so it does nt modding the black plate of the board? Just screw behind it only?
*
Most, if not all of the LGA1155 boards don't have a backplate since the stock Intel cooler is very light, so there's no need for extra support to prevent bending. And yes, you just need to screw it on the board.

Another question,

http://my.msi.com/product/mb/#/?sk=Socket%...tel%20i3/i5/i7)

There is a feature on MSI motherboard, OC Genie II: Auto OC to boost performance in 1 sec. Is this feature for real or just a gimmick ?

Took me a week just to choice a Mobo for my i3-3220, now I have look at virtu MVP feature too. Some reviews say it does not increase the minimum FPS.
*
It does work, and most board manufacturers have their own overclocking feature for their boards. How far OC Genie can bring your components though depends on your board and your components' limitation. Don't expect too much from an Auto overclocking feature laugh.gif.

I guess I go for manual overclock. Now suddenly people mention about this Virtu MVP thingy, which is like using both iGPU and GPU to boost performances. Why nowadays motherboard also pattern banyak banyak.  doh.gif
*
It's Intel's idea to have such a feature for the Z77 chipset. smile.gif

Asking, are Pentium D still capable to play 3D online games?
I've a PC from last 5 years ago which setup roughly as below but didnt remember exact model and details;
1. Pentum D 2.0GHz
2. Gigabyte motherboard
3. 2GB Ram
4. Cap ayam PSU and GPU.
All of this, I plan to change PSU & GPU or maybe add more another 2GB Ram. Please advise.  blush.gif
*
What are the 3D online games that you plan to play? Find out the exact model of your GPU by downloading GPU-Z. If it's good enough you can save some money.

Hmm I'll try boosting my budget then.

But I don't have to buy a new PSU or fan right since whatever's inside my current Acer is sufficient?
*
It should be enough, based on what power supply Acer says the M7720 comes with ( 500W / 750W / 1000W ).

Question : Would there be anyone willing to buy a used casing and PSU only? Because I want to sell my bitfenix shinobi and 550W enermax and upgrade to carbide 400r+enermax 650W is there any "cases" where people do this?
*
There are plenty of people who are interested in buying used chassis and power supplies. The chances of you getting them sold together is not as large as it is getting them sold separately though. smile.gif It will also be more profitable if you sell them separately.

Alright! thanks. Question though, should I get the 2GB DDR5 HD7850 or 1GB edition for about RM100 cheaper? 1GB of RAM sounds like alot doh.gif
*
Actually by current standards, 1GB of VRAM is considered as little considering the amount of texture memory games demand nowadays. laugh.gif.

So 2GB it is then? Just because it's an OC edition doesn't mean it will be incompatible with my motherboard and PSU right? (as long as I don't OC la hahahha)
*
It will be compatible as long as your motherboard has a PCI-E x16 slot and your power supply has enough power. smile.gif

last time i asked about the gaming rig for triple screen but if i only change the new gc to my old rig it that ok with it?

intel core 2 duo e7500 2.93ghz
4gb ram
gigabyte ep43-ud3l
gigabyte gts 250 1gb gddr3 with artic cooling cooler
1x 500 gb hdd
power supply is like 550w

is this rig can use longer and doesnt upgrade for a year?

coz i thinking to buy a new one can use for a few years. my current one almost 4 years.
*
Your processor probably won't be fast enough to cope with triple-screen gaming, i.e nVidia's surround vision and AMD's Eyeinfinity. You'll want to upgrade your processor, but since LGA775 processors are very hard to find, you're better off buying the latest processors instead ( LGA1155 / LGA2011 ). However, that will warrant for a RAM and motherboard change.

Just bought corsair 300r, they doesn't come with this and didn't mentioned in the manual.
Is that normal? As I can saw the stand is higher..
*
Apparently the 300R is built in such a way that motherboard standoffs aren't necessary, so it's no surprise that they didn't come with any. smile.gif Good anyway since it will help simplify installation, and also prevent any possible issue with loose motherboard standoffs.

will try to survey more..fyi, i got some experience with viewnet..last wednesday, my friend were buying a rig and viewnet staff are assembling it..after came back to hostel, i notice that, the driver cd of motherboard and gc was not there rclxub.gif ..maybe they forget to put it back..who knows..  hmm.gif
*
Other than for first time motherboard driver installation, the discs aren't really important since the drivers included are usually outdated laugh.gif. If you're doing first time installation, and you don't have the motherboard disc and you don't have an extra computer at home, you may not be able to do much with your system since to connect to the internet you will need the LAN driver. The most important driver in the disc is usually the LAN driver, since you'll need that to connect to the net, and from there on you can go on to get the rest of the drivers laugh.gif. Without a GPU driver, your system should work as usual, except that you may not be able to set the monitor resolution properly, and also you may face random graphical lag.
