QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Aug 7 2018, 07:54 PM) I read that this tyre have treadwear indicator. Where and how to check? I know the 20 or 50 cent rules but I want to know how to check with the treadwear indicator. It's within the deepest 7-8 mm longkang, spaced a few inches apart. https://www.carsguide.com.au/car-advice/how...new-tyres-32135

Coz xm2 doesn't have that platform thingy, like the other pic in the site. This post has been edited by cempedaklife: Aug 8 2018, 07:59 AM Attached thumbnail(s)

Not aware of this, got to check against my XM2 then ..... but it seems like a legal requirement though. just checked back, have to turn the wheel all the way to have a proper look. xm2 does have the platform and antenna thingy in the main tread. i assume the indicator is the platform? if the platform is same level as the tread then its time to change (based on treadwear)? if like that my tread is still double of the platform height. been using it like 4-5 years now.

Thanks for pointing out. But the wear at side, is still looking at the main tread right? I think xm2 has at least 3 deep tread.

There are still people buying XM2?
I personally feel this tyre is over priced and outdated. Michelin had not revise this model since 2011.

QUOTE(oxydro @ Jul 26 2018, 03:29 PM) just changed 4 pcs of XM2 last weekend. 175/65/14 was quoted 190/pcs. so far performance is good, and less noise than my previous yokohama bluearth. havent tried to drive when it rains hard though. Heyyy mind share the tyre shop contact ? wanted to chg mine soon ... 190/pcs is quite reasonable.
