I read that this tyre have treadwear indicator. Where and how to check?
I know the 20 or 50 cent rules but I want to know how to check with the treadwear indicator.

QUOTE(zeng @ Aug 7 2018, 08:00 PM) It's within the deepest 7-8 mm longkang, spaced a few inches apart. https://www.carsguide.com.au/car-advice/how...new-tyres-32135Is this the one? Coz xm2 doesn't have that platform thingy, like the other pic in the site. This post has been edited by cempedaklife: Aug 8 2018, 07:59 AM Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(zeng @ Aug 8 2018, 09:15 AM) Yep, you're right. [attachmentid=9959883] Not aware of this, got to check against my XM2 then ..... but it seems like a legal requirement though. just checked back, have to turn the wheel all the way to have a proper look. xm2 does have the platform and antenna thingy in the main tread. i assume the indicator is the platform? if the platform is same level as the tread then its time to change (based on treadwear)? if like that my tread is still double of the platform height. been using it like 4-5 years now.

QUOTE(leehernandez @ Aug 8 2018, 10:59 AM) and also if the tyre have not reach the indicator, but have wear one side also need to change already.seen some people tyres already wear one side almost bald, but the centre stil got 50-60% therad, they say tyre still ok and fine to use lol Okay. Thanks for pointing out. But the wear at side, is still looking at the main tread right? I think xm2 has at least 3 deep tread.

QUOTE(oxydro @ Aug 23 2018, 10:39 AM) it's KEE HIN located at old klang road Thanks Bro! I also planning to get new tyres already. Do they have ready stock when you go there? Or need to book? Usually 175 65 15 need book ahead

QUOTE(chezza @ Aug 31 2018, 02:35 AM) Just sharing. 175/65R15 XM2 quoted by Wah Hoe Tyre Services in Taman Mayang Jaya, SS26/11, PJ at RM205 per donut. If buy 4 pieces together, installation+balancing+alignment+rubber valves included. I personally changed to Yokohama BluEarth ES32 just yesterday. Es32 got this size mer? I was searching online and couldn't find they manufactured this size. I previously really wants to change to this. How much is it?
