what point 8 you are mentioning ?

want to ask you-
a) if you release your gas pedal, does the car go smooth back ?
b) if your car put in neutral / parking mode and step the gas, do you able to feel un smooth acceleration ?

I may not be able to give you the precise scenario as I don't own the car but I can answer you best as I've used it several times (and identified the judder) :-

a) Yes - seems to judder only when throttled

UPDATE :-

b) No - the acceleration seems linear (smooth; based on the owner's explanation a few mins ago) when applying throttle on a Neutral / Park gear

Thank you very much - come to think of it, the car has been giving a real bad mileage recently ~ around 380-420 on full tank with city driving (not driven in heavy traffic), so maybe ur diagnosis is correct

my fren who bought honda insight cbu 2 years ago and havign this issue almost a year.

symptom
-when climb hill for about 25 sec , ima battery indicator dramatically dropped from 100% to 20% . eventually the car felt extremely sluggish because not only the engine have to propel the car, but also have to keep charging the ima at the same time .

-during normal cruising , step harder on the pedal it gv u extra accer. but it wont last long like probably a minute till the battery reach 50% below and the ima start charging again and losing power.

due to freq depleted battery level and charge need , he used to cruise from 6++km per tank back then and now to 5++km something only.

did refer to most hsc , they found nth wrong n refuse to gv detail checkup since no error indicator light on the ipu.
even the honda malaysia representative came and see , still cant clarify what exactly happening.

my fren did change a new 12v batt still doesnt help much , he suspect the battery unit are faulty or some bug while honda sc wont do anything.


so any sifu here can gv some explain or solution? newbie here

IMA battery rapid charge n discharge

i also facing the same problem...
the battery can in a sudden full charge then in a sudden totally low batt...but this only happen in econ mode on from my observation.

already complaint to SC and they did some tuning according to the supervisor but it seem does not help also.

Ya..Rm270 includes balancing and alignment but not include introgen gas

mine did the same thing one time. took to SC and they put in new firmware then ok back to normal

Your car 2011 or 2012 production? Is it true all 2012 car already updated to new firmware?

and recommendation which HID kit to use? brand model spec price....

after i reset the ima battery via remove the +ve and -ve at 12v battery. now the car back like normal
after the reset, when the car start it will start with empty lvl of ima battery, i continue rev the car over 2.5k rpm to charge the ima until it get full. then no more problem...

regarding HID, personal experience if u willing to spend then get a original and branded one. ignore those 100-200 plus although they say is top quality. i get mine ~RM130, installed it and with one night drive then i already remove and install back the halogen bulb. after sometime, i force myself to use it again and after 2 months i also go back to halogen. the one i get is 4300k. i was comparing with my dad K5 HID. you may say i comparing apple and banana, but if the HID is not better than halogen then y waste money to upgrade it???

i'm satisfied with my HID. bot it from DDM Tuning. 35w 4500k

The amount u spent on the shippings. My as well u buy a Philip or osram hid in malaysia.
