yup, for currently..but good preparation for nex year, (terms: no more discount on new car + after tax). As currently RV is low (among 2013)..my two cent only..

yes, its for economical use. after 50k mileage i change at evry 10k interval now.

a little bit of update for my warranty claim for the rear shock absorber...

Finally Honda Malaysia has approve my warranty claim even the mileage has slightly over 100k km.

But then, instead for a pair of rear shock absorber, they only change 1 piece... WTF!!!

When they quote me rear absorber, they quote in a pair. Now for warranty claim, only can claim 1 piece

Question : THE rear driver's side shock absorber on my 1982 Volvo 244 GL is leaking and I have been advised to fit a replacement.

My mechanic insists on changing the shock absorber on the other side even though it is still in good shape. Do I really need to replace both at the same time?

Answer : YOUR mechanic is correct and you will have to spend money on two new shock absorbers.

It is extremely dangerous fitting a single shock absorber since uneven damping on two sides will result in unpredictable handling, especially on wet and slippery surfaces.

Although the shock absorber on the other side may look undamaged, it would have worn to a certain degree. This may be unnoticed to you since the reduction in damping occurs slowly and over a long time.

You can claim insurance but lose your NCB. Calculate and see whether worth it. BTW, 40kM service over RM1000?????? Why??? I just saw it on the website.

I m new to hybrid cars...so no experience leh 
To me hybrid = batt & petrol. Hence my concern abt it.

Because i have read a full maintenance DETAILED report of a Honda Malaysia recommendation parts list, and the Fuel Filter to be changed every 80,000KM instead of 40,000KM.

Anyhow, What I think is that, the incident could happen to any car at all. It's not just to Hybrid or to a Japanese made or to a Specific Brand.

yups..i try it and it work well
but after doing that and using econ mode on, around 3-4 weeks it back to same problem again.
so now most of the time i drive with econ mode turn off now...next week will go service and ask them to check this.

Wow...why you change CVT before 40k km? The required change for replace transmission fluid is :- Normal conditions: 90,000 mi / 144,000 km / 6 years OR Severe conditions: 30,000 mi / 48,000 km / 2 years. Actually, Insight is equipped with the computer sensor for CVT change but not sure if this option is disabled for Malaysia Insight which is identical model exported to Australia and US.

Anyway, I used to change and service my Proton gear box according to schedule until till failed after about 100K Km. Later, I found it wasn't even gear box problem but contact problem with the computer box. Now only change oil when I see significant changes in the colour. No problem since then. My friend never changed his Audi's transmission for almost ten years. When the gear was acting up they change the oil and it is back to normal.

Don't let SC rip you off. Be a strong consumer and fight it out for unreasonable charges.
