I was in mudah checking the price now, the cheapest can be rm38k above for year 2011.
I may wanna get 2012 if I can get it below rm50k

Why honda will stop production insight?because sales not that good? As i know honda insight only sales in few country, cannot compare with civic the demand is not there.

hi, how much the cost for servicing your insight (avarage)?
im already looking this car in mudah.my, and planning to buy this car. but the problem is, this is 1st hybrid car i will own (if i buy this car).

tq.. and i read somewhere, insight use 8 iridium spark plug? and its cost rm170 per piece? that mean its rm1360 for spark plug alone 

I plan to change myself but problem is I have checked with few shops, they say this NGK spark is exclusive made for Honda, all don't have it. Well I guess that is why the price so much higher compare to other cars spark plug which is commonly available.

here's my experience regarding 2nd hand insight.

i got mine at 44k in Jan this year. 2013 model. had about 100k km clocked on it. service all done in Honda SC. 100k major service done by previous owner in nov 15.

Owned it less than 2 months then the car broke down. engine light came up. couldn't move so sent to Honda Chan Sow Lin SC. they told me my engine got some problem. caused my spark plugs to turn black even though it just changed in Nov 2016.  SC told me need to overhaul the engine and see what's wrong and that would cost me at least 6-10K minimum.

so next i took the car out from SC, sent to my trusted mechanic and he replaced 8 new spark plugs for me. RM90 each. last service from my mechanic also checked that the spark plugs turned black after 1 month plus of usage.

so my options now is,

1)trade in and get another car
2)Overhaul the engine and try to fix the problem(might not be able to find what's wrong)
3) find a halfcut engine and replace the current one.

overall the car drives great and great FC. i guess i'm bad luck to get a bad egg out of the whole basket. i'm still driving it now and everyday is a gamble whereby i'm scared it will breakdown on me anytime soon.

and i realise my car eats engine oil like crazy. probably due to the leakage in the engine. every 2-3 weeks i need to top up engine oil as the level goes below the dipstick.

any other guys have such problem? >_<"

thanks for the advice! i doubt honda SC will do engine cleaning/treatment & de-carbonizing for the previous owner since he only sent it back in there. i'll try to ask quicksave or others whether they provide these services or not. hopefully it helps and the problem doesn't resurface again.
