Just want to ask, does Honda Service Centres sell the 12V Dry Cell batteries?? I like 12V dry cells compared to conventional 12V wet cells even though the price is slightly higher, the battery life is longer (3 years or more compared to 1.5-2 years) and it's maintenance free :]......!!!

And does the accessories shops sell the chrome door handle garnish for scratch protection for Insight?
*
Melaka honda SC do sell 12V dry cell. i think others also have...
According to my friend who do car battery biz, he told me the Panasonic car battery is very good in quality.

Hi guys, been driving my insight for 3 month, reaching 7K soon. Over all am enjoying my ride.

Only dissatisfy is during CNY fetch my family, Ipoh to KL. On highway, middle of a long incline, the battery level running low half way, instead of assist, direct turn to charging mode.

This is a bit annoying, since the engine working hard to drive the car, the motor should not be charge at the same time.

Do you guys encounter the same scenario?

Also the battery level drop immediately from level 3 to 1, almost within 10 second. Is this normal?
*
during cruising mode at highway, it quite normal that the motor is not assist but charging the battery. at least this is always happen to me la...only when u floor the pedal then the assist it come back.

about the battery drop immediately from lvl 3 to 1, that so far never happen to me. when i check my battery lvl, it always more than half.

sensor? or only i am the one that dont know about this.

today was reading on the cobra manual to see any way to disable the alarm (since my one sometime get mad itself n trigger alarm itself) but keep the remote lock n unlock from the key.

was inside the car n arm the alarm, then the siren n horn trigger at the same time when i moving inside the car. only then i notice there is such thing in our car.

meaning if the window screen is force broken by robber, the alarm will sound!? Will try..
*
any big change for volumn in the car will trigger the alarm, it not work like the motion detector sensor.
i try when both front window open and nothing happen inside.
only when both windows is close, then u try move inside the carbin, the alarm and horn will trigger at the same time.

but nowadays the robber no need force break the window anymore, they can cut whole piece out without any noise at all. by right when they move their hand n head inside the carbin then the alarm will trigger.

my one was not happen last time when they broke my glass because i always lock my car with key n didnt turn on the alarm due to the alarm something wrong not able to detect by honda SC...kek sim...

My car is going to be 2 years and I need to do renewal of my insurance. What is the reasonable amount to insure?

Is it true that if insure under Honda Insurance Package, in the case if lost they will compensate the insured value and not the market value for the 1st five years...
*
That also also what I heard n I do my insurance from them.

Yesterday worst as driving from Ipoh back to KL taking almost 5 hours.
After long drive, noticed twice the car like engaged at low gear (yummm sound), only goes off when you press the gas pedal, and can smell burning.
1st time after over take a car
2nd time when make a corner from flyover.

Anyone facing such problem?

Second thing is when you use the Auto Cruise, when set at 110KM/h, it goes on / off within 107 – 114KM, it happen even when I set up 90 KM/h, it will goes between 85-95KM/h. Is this normal for Insight?
* Didn’t happen to my CRV.
*
it should stay stable at the speed you set when u at even road.
but when there is up hill, it is normal that the speed will drop. if u have econ mode turn on, it will take sometime to return back to the set speed.

Already asked for replacement, SC say need to write detailed report for warranty claims and till now  they don't actually know what is the problem. Saw them plug in something to the computer, test here and there, check the battery, take out the dashboard and re-plug all wiring. Problem still re-occurred. Warranty expired 2014 April.

i know how ur feel although we are facing different problem.
my one was the sometime ok sometime not ok alarm system. they also can detect anything n tell me is the magnetic outside cause the problem, but not happen in the SC >.<'''

tomorrow i going to muar SC instead of melaka to do my service n also complain my leak absorber n the alarm. hopefully miracle will happen there

i still very keen want to downgrade to 15" when the time come.

i check jap insight spec it do come with 185/60/R15 tyre size. so that will be my aim when downgrade the tyre size. then for the rim wise, i very interesting on the 15" advanti racing storm series around 5kg without tyre.

bro, why want to down size? better fuel economy? better handling? or....?
*
mostly on the weight reduction. then hopefully will get better pickup, fc and more comfort due to higher profile (55->60)

how much do u expect this will cost for all 4 tires?

which advanti model are you looking for?
*
first i was hoping by reduce the tyre size, the 15" tyre will be cheaper. but after compare the current size and 185/60/R15 with zth latest tyre price list. The price seem almost the same (example XM2). but of cos for 15" tyre seem has slightly more option n got cheaper one.

as mentioned in previous post, i looking at advanti racing storm series. the price for the rim around RM800 base on lowyat seller. Advanti Racing 15" rim

all this is purely survey on the website. so far didnt really go tyre shop n ask. will travel ~10k km first then will start this modification smile.gif current tyres already travel 40k+ km.

but changing ur rim size will affect ur speedometer accuracy.
where did u change ur tire?
*
Of cos not simply change. 185/60/r15 will affect little only. If base on online calculator should be 62, but I don't think this tyre exist.

I also consider wider a bit but the right one will be 195/55/r15. This will make the gap to fender very big already
