The playercore factory thing is sometimes a hit and miss.
Unless it is edited properly.
Perhaps nicety can post the one that works

Not sure if this is the same for you guys. But here is my findings regarding XBMC.

I am on firmware 1.0.3. I tested XMBC 12.2 "Frodo"

the playercorefactory.xml is broken here...

the solution is to use a non official version with a fix. unfortunately this xbmc is not under 12.2 and is based under the newer alpha xbmc 13. hence, it is unstable and some add on is broken.

I not sure if this playercorefactory.xml issue is a xbmc issue or a himedia firmware issue. i suspect its the later.

on a side note, they have integrated libstagefright library into xbmc 13... this allow for the internal player to use the hardware acceleration. I've tested this on 720p and 1080p vid. It buggy and sometimes will cause xbmc to crash. But when it work, it works very nicely. I am looking forward to this very much...

Are you using the nightly builds?
Can it even load without forceclose

The author compile it from the nightly i believe... but i tested it, it seems stable except for the broken add on. its not the bleeding edge one.. so its less prone to crash...

Here :

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=175341

I might consider going back to this build soon.. I will need to study more on it when I find the time.

Did anyone have success with resolving the jerkiness with Frodo 12.2, Q5II 1.0.3 and the playercorefactory.xml file? Or only with the Q5?

Thanks for the multiple mirror tips~ rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

As for XBMC, i'm currently using the XAF Custom Build for NEON Touch Screen Devices (however I think a mouse is required for the cursor selecting, otherwise just get Hi-control apps)

http://www.xbmchub.com/blog/2013/05/04/bri...uild-must-have/

I dont hv any black screen issue so far as I always delete my cache every time I watched anything. And I dint use any external player at all cos sometimes I need subtitles for some movies.
So, you guys might give it a try.

Just personal experience, bear your own risk~ cool2.gif

Bro, please find below video player in xBMC with different external player in Q5II 1.0.3 (English version)
P/S : Here refer to play media file from local HDD, online streaming jerking is due to internet bottleneck not the player.

Using Native xBMC player with serious jerking

Using MX Player

Using Himedia player

Thanks to Lighter for below code sharing
<player name="HimediaPlayer" type="ExternalPlayer" audio="false" video="true">
<filename>com.himedia.android.videoplayer</filename>
<hidexbmc>true</hidexbmc>
<playcountminimumtime>120</playcountminimumtime>
</player>
.
.
.
.
.
[bad html removed] DVD Images -->
<rule dvdimage="true" player="HimediaPlayer"/>

[bad html removed] rtmp Streams (Ice / Navi-x) -->
<rule protocols="rtmp" player="HimediaPlayer"/>

[bad html removed] rtsp Streams (Type of internet stream) -->
<rule protocols="rtsp" player="HimediaPlayer" />

[bad html removed] SopCast -->
<rule protocols="sop" player="SopCast" />

[bad html removed] Internet streams -- Disabled for now -->
[bad html removed]<rule internetstream="true" player="MXPlayerFree" />-->

[bad html removed] Video files -- Default rule (last to ensure above trigger first -->
<rule video="true" player="HimediaPlayer"/>

Bro, try not to use TM DNS. Just Google "Public DNS" to get the IP.

Bro nicety, thanks a lot for the clear videos illustrating, meaning Himedia player is the best? Do you mean we need to change the playercorefactory.xml file to those codelines you listed above in order to trigger XBMC to use MX player? What should we do with those ":" ha....

Also my problem is really the video lagging the audio, is that still related to internet bottleneck? Cos running similar video streaming off chinese sites like funshion doesn't lag, hence shouldn't be due to bandwidth? But then again some streams on Q5II are awesome smooth too, so probably is the problem with some of the sources that are streaming.

Which are some of the most reliable addon streams so far?

Hi nicety,

I also facing slow streaming with most of the streaming apps including PPS on my 4MB streamyx line. Currently using Google DNS btw. Do I need to use china proxy to get smoother streaming? Any fast china proxy to recommend?

Roger

Just follow the steps pmed to you.

Please check your Internet first, if you bottleneck is Internet then no need to change DNS. My QVOD go up to 350KB/s. Pls cross check with few QVOD web site I given to you earlier.

Proxy is used to bypass Geo restriction, it will not help to boost the performance. Instead proxy some time slow down. Please pm me the list of your targeted streaming, let me find if any alternative for you.

Sure, my customers always have different priority. Just PM to you.

The solution only help if TM throttle your internet. If the root cause come from the content server or international trunk bottleneck then it will not help. xBMC online streaming is free, you need some effort to search for good content providers. There are hundreds of different content providers, you need to search for it. Alternatively, you can try the XBMC paid service as recommended by @Xnet
http://www.ntv.mx/?c=2&a=0&p=52

Regarding the Netflix, it is important to get the right Netflix reseller as they knew better than me.
