Bought 2 units of Q5. Fast reply & responsive seller, recommended for all. For the product itself, it has high quality metal box and clock display, looks nice. I'm not sure if other android devices have such customisation, but this box allows you to hide the android status bar so that can play movie in full screen, nice feature to have... The only drawback is the slightly lagging on responding to remote control.

Hi Nicety, I recently upgraded my Q5 firmware to 1.1.4 but didn't check what's the previous version before upgrade. What will be the expected problem if upgrade directly from 1.0.4 to 1.1.4? Currently my Q5 seemed running fine anyway. QUOTE(nicety @ Aug 14 2013, 01:20 PM) Bro, pls check your firmware version before upgrade. If your version is below 1.0.4, pls upgrade to 1.1.1 first then follow by 1.1.4.

QUOTE(nicety @ Dec 2 2013, 11:27 PM) Bro, try not to use TM DNS. Just Google "Public DNS" to get the IP. Hi nicety, I also facing slow streaming with most of the streaming apps including PPS on my 4MB streamyx line. Currently using Google DNS btw. Do I need to use china proxy to get smoother streaming? Any fast china proxy to recommend? Regards, Roger

QUOTE(h9s9h @ Dec 18 2013, 11:08 AM) addon from xunitytalk.com tip: select hk server to be able to play pptv n youku in hitv. (use google public dns) Any idea how to add the HongKong server into the server list on HiTV v3 (Q5)? I checked my HiTV only got 4 or 5 servers there and HongKong server is not in the list.

Hi nicety,
Found out that currently the Q5 default player can't support video decoded in x265. Is there anyway to update the codec for the default player?

Hi all,
Recently realized there is a new firmware 1.1.6 for Q5. Is there anyone tried it before? Any comments/issues on this new firmware?
Thank you.
