Ya, but it's really expensive and just keep repeating the shows. It's 2013, where is the free access to content whenever we want it? Unifi promoter called me that day, saying they're bundling VIP 5 with Hypp Flicks now. I thought got 75 channels, turns out only 75 movies. In the end still video on demand and each movie cost RM7. Compare that with Netflix or the apps that your Himedia can support.

Actually HyppTV has potential, just TM do not know how to model the business. If you refer to online streaming business in US orChina, it is millions dollar business.

It's not that TM doesn't know how to model the business.
It's the person who is behind the Hypp TV that's screwing up big time for his own personal interest and the person is Jeremy.
He is 'selling' to TM the sh*tty contents and pocketing the commission.
There are a million channels that can be streamed and made money from in FULL HD if TM wants to as long as they get rid of that guy

Maybe we do not know the internal politic within TM.

Imagine if we have local content server, and could enjoy fast streaming bypass the slow international trunk and no require VPN or proxy server anymore. I am very confident the majority don't mind to pay the reasonable monthly subscription. Minus the license expenses, there are still plenty of profit for TM.

As I said everything is already in place.
TM has superduper capacity in their CDN to even help host entire Bollywood and Hollywood movies, TV shows etc to serve South East Asia but yet to choose to stream from where??? Hong Kong thanks to the genius Jeremy.
If host in TM no money for him but host in Hong Kong get $$$ in USD and no need to bring home to Malaysia- just open bank account in Hong Kong and content provider bank in $ every month

Unfortunately, majority of the buyers just look at the price instead of of support :-(

No matter what I price I publish, my competitor purposely RM10 less then me and the it works.

Then they are stuck with not knowing what to do and start scampering for support.
But look at it as a longer term investment sooner or later people will know that product without service is as good as an expensive paper weight

The below information already shared in the earlier topic but due to many buyers ask the same question, I would like to repeat this again with more clear instruction.

Why xBMC is lagging when play large media file in the USB disk/local harddisk ?
xBMC native player is too resource intensive, if you play large media file you will notice the lagging. To avoid the problem, just set the default player to MX player instead of xBMC native player.

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=153734

How to set xBMC default player to MX player?
1). Download "playercorefactory.xml" from https://nuskunetworks.app.box.com/s/wzzbunuqew9rh3ospczj

2). Copy "playercorefactory.xml" to the folder /sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/userdata.

P/S: /sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc is hidden folder, if your file manager could not see the file please activate "show hidden file". Recommend to use ES File Explorer if you could not find the folder.

Couple of queries, have the Q5II with the build number HMD-1.0.2 2013-09-07.153431.

1) Tried installing XBMC from the link someone provided earlier, but after install it says "unfortunately XBMC has stopped" and cannot fire up.

xbmc-frodo-12.1-xaf-teg2-touch-20130503-8d75a5c004.apk

Or are we supposed to download from the page below, which one should we be downloading?

http://www.xbmchub.com/blog/2013/05/04/bri...ase-of-the-xaf- custom-build-must-have/

2) I don't have Google Playstore inside the "My Apps".... anyone has idea how to install?

3) Tried downloading the Q5II firmware upgrade from the link below and put into root of thumbdrive, but at System Upgrade it only shows as "D" drive, there is no "sda" or "sdb"?
