Apple devices are only worth it if jailbroken.
Lucky I have 2 ATV2 jailbroken.
My ATV3 is collecting dust because of limitations.
Android devices as media player to me is the best option with lots of flexibility.
I have 2 Himedia boxes which are used very extensively as my go to media player

Pls test the premium trial. You can test the NTV mentioned in the above few thread as well.

Once again I would like to clarify that I am not the reseller of any paid service. Just merely to share there is such service in the market.

Hi,

Allow me to share my views on CloudTV. Please do not waste time testing or thinking to just download the app and watch their free channels. Those are just really there to entice new users to upgrade to premium only. Hundreds of channels in the free segment but most are rubbish and most of the time, they wont load. Even some do load, the quality just bad. And I do not think there is any FREE HD channels.

There are hundreds of China channels from all their provinces from Guangdong to Harbin, Hong Kong and Taiwan. And they do have channels from other countries around the world. The channels are categorized by type or country of origin. As for English Channels, you can find most movies channels like HBO,Cinemax,Fox....and for documentaries, you can find National Geographic, Discovery, Animal Planet, History....All these channels that I mentioned, there are all in the premium package.

What about the quality of the premium package? Personally, i would say it is acceptable. Some HD channels are nice and I don't think there are really Full HD. Secondly, when comes to quality of the streaming, most of the time it run smoothly but there are times it just wont connects. Sometimes the audio and visual do not sync as well. Averagely, you can expect bad connections few times in a month that last for hours. They have a forum for subscribers to complain though.

In a nutshell, as nicety pointed, it is the best bargain you can find at this moment.

PS...you can watch EPL from the premium package but note that it is not HD and those are CHina channels - so only talks in CHinese!!

Hi Bro, to track the IP of the apps is a bit tricky, network sniffer tool is required.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...r.sniffer&hl=en

If the content server has load balancing or distributed servers then you might get multiple IP addresses for single apps. You may consider to bypass by URL instead of IPs.

I would advise to use WIFI for proxy and Ethernet for none proxy and switch between WIFI and LAN.

Thank you bro, please always feel free to share your experience here :-) I agree with you, those CloudTV still depend on the premium subscription to survive the business.

Beside CloudTV, there are other subscription base English content provider such as Netflix, Hulu, NTV and etc.

VPN encrypted the traffic from your device until the VPN server, the content server do not see you but only see the VPN server. If you use VPN server in US, the content server see you as US IP address, actually this is IP address of VPN server. With VPN you can bypass geofencing restriction. VPN commonly use for US and Europe. Most of the public VPN service are chargeable.

Proxy is Internet caching, it can be encrypted or none encrypted. As the name self explain, it play the role as middleman between your device and the content server. Again the content server do not see you but only see the proxy server IP such that it could bypass the geographical restriction. Proxy is commonly use in enterprise or public Internet. There are many free public proxy available on the net.

Technically, both are totally different. However, if you look at geofencing restriction point of view, both could deliver the same function you want. Due to political reasons, some of the country do not allow encrypted traffic in/out from the country, therefore VPN is not allow such as China.

Proxy only work for wifi in Q5II unless you can root the device and use 3rd part proxy app which I do not recommended. In term of speed, proxy could be degraded because of free server.

VPN could set for wifi and LAN port in Q5II. In term of speed, it depend on the VPN service provider. In fact, a good provider with sufficient Internet bandwidth capacity could deliver you faster speed.

QVOD is preinstall app with Q icon in your "My Apps". Or Chinese name is 快播. After enter QVOD you can see 8448, if you cannot see them capture the screen of QVOD and pm to me, I will guide you.

Bro, this is nothing to do with the Q5 firmware. This is xBMC native player too resource intensive, just change to external player in xBMC will do or wait for xBMC next release to fix it.
