QUOTE(nicety @ Jan 14 2014, 07:47 AM) Hello Nico, Both files are ready made for our customers as part of our value added service. If you don't mind, please share with us where do you bought the unit. Anyhow, if you did not buy from us, you still able to find the solution in this thread. Please check the FAQ under Q13 in the first topic of this thread. Hi Nicety, Thanx for your information. I found it but it doesn't work on samba.

QUOTE(kyrliot @ Jan 16 2014, 07:17 AM) Tried this on my Q5 II eMMC but would not playback any movies. This is using firmware 1.0.4. I've tried to update the firmware to 1.0.5 (emmc version) to see if that would make a difference but even using the reset button method it refuses to load using an 8gig USB stick formatted FAT32 and NTFS.

xbmc 12.3 is not working well for me too demanding for the weak cpu, so far the best versions without external player is Gotham monthly 8,after that one none works and justxbmc for ouya but without audio pass through the later. I play files from nfs nas and hisilicon as external player does not work from lan. I don't believe that himedia can deliver a good xbmc version for non emmc model. By the way 1.0.5 has a different interface a lot stream channels from China, useless for a Greek like me AND no Google playstore and browser. Playstore crashes if you install manually... useless firmware revision.

I do not advise to use XBMC for local streaming. Use XBMC only for online streaming such as 1Channel, Icefilm and etc. P/S : The China firmware(Mango HiQ) is designed for China market use only, there is no Google Play Store build in. China has their own apps store because Google is banned in China. This post has been edited by nicety: Jan 17 2014, 02:02 AM

Just thought I would share that I have xbmc running perfectly including Blu ray folder and iso playback (including 3d ) from with xbmc as well as full HD Audio passthrough via hdmi. This is running on the q10ii eMMC version, but the q5ii is much the same. Here is a link to the xbmc.apk i used that is good to go, just change the language to your needs and the audio output (7.1 for full HD via hdmi) xbmc.apk

The MPEG4 movie file size is about 100MB. Sometimes it load and play immediately. Any idea ? Thanks

Pls find below link to XBMC, 12.3 is the stable version. http://xbmc.org/download/Info to share with all : If you use XUNITY to watch TV Shows, pls goto VIDEOS menu instead of XUNITY menu. XUNITY TV shows menu sometime crash halfway. If you still using 12.2 or 13.0 Beta XBMC, pls upgrade to Frodo 12.3 which is more stable. [/quote] bro, I try to install Xfinity on Frodo 12.3 by using the step by step guideline sent by you earlier, but can find this "plugin.video.xunitytalkwizard-1.1.0.zip" anymore? can Xfinity install on Frodo 12.3?

Are you confused by the below topic #1216 ? https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2598907/+1215The SMB client could be found under MediaCenter -> LAN. Beside SMB, it support NFS and UPNP as well. Of course if you installed ES Explorer, you have another option to access to SMB shared. This post has been edited by nicety: Jan 23 2014, 11:15 PM
