Using Q5II on XBMC, with the Istream installer.

One issue I had was that the movies (be it from Mash-up or any other add-on) constantly crashes to that scrolling desktop, so far I still haven't found a solution yet. From the crash I can usually replay the movie again, but then have to use the horizontal slider to find where I crashed out from.

Anyone has similar experience or know the solution?

Is there like a place to clear all the previously watched movies/streams, assumed that they are cached somewhere?

Bro, which XBMC version are you using? I am currently testing 12.3 just released before the new year. So far the test result are positive, the crash issue in 12.2 suppose to be resolved.

Dear customer & forumers actively shared in this thread :

Nicety,

As always thanks for the fantastic tips!
Yes I was running Frodo 12.2, just upgraded to 12.3.
So far it has been running buttery smooth without any kick-outs anymore.

Hopefully they come out with some way to upgrade XBMC via Playstore, so that don't have to use PC to download then transfer over to Q5II using thumbdrive to install.

Regarding that part on clearing cache, so far I have been using Xunity Maintenanace's DELETE CACHE, if I am doing it wrong pls share the right method!

I do not sure the Delete Cache will help, I presumed XBMC will auto cleaning. Pls share if you discover DELETE CACHE really help in term of speed or saving space.

As usual, we encourage more Q series buyers not just obtain info here but share it out when you discover new stuff related to Q5II/Q6II/Q10II and etc.

And don't forget to share with your friends about our service.

Thank you for inquiry, just pmed to you.
Regarding smart 3D or passive 3D, it is depend on your 3D TV not the player. The player can support both active and passive 3D TV.

Thank you for acknowledge receipt bro. The pos office service level always dropped before and after festival, but no choice, this is still the cheapest courier service. I'm so sorry for the delay.

Btw, have you received my getting started email?

I just downloaded this file from himedia site "update_dualcore_Q5_en.zip". I was wondering if this is for the Q5II chipset. If so, how to update the unit. The filesize is quite big - around 349MB
